QuestionI have the HTCT-800 however I lost my remote, and my universal one I have connected to it won’t let me access all my settings and other goodies, I was wondering if I got an OEM remote from Sony directly of it would control it or if it would be a waste

QuestionCan I connect the Sony Sound Bar using a optical line in to a Sony Receiver? The Receiver is a couple of years old. This way I can still use my receiver using HDMI connections back out to TV, DVD and turntable. Thanks.

QuestionFor some reason, when I'm on HDMI 1, none of the menu functions get displayed on my tv (ie: if I change the volume, it shows it changing on the soundbar itself, but nothing is displaying on the TV). It does display correctly on HDMI 2, etc. Any ideas?

QuestionWhen i play blu ray discs through my Xbone X the video and audio from the sound bar cut out and black screen, then If I turn off the sound bar the HDMI plugged into the sound bar (XBOX ONE X) plays video and audio through the TV Speakers. Is there a Fix?

QuestionUnfortunately, my 18 month old HT-RT5 soundbar went out. While i'm tempted to discontinue purchasing Sony for life, does this soundbar work with my two rear speakers? They are SA-SRRT5 with secure link.

- Answer None of these answer are correct. You can correct to a Sony TV via Bluetooth (page 16 of the manual). I would not recommend this though because there is a rather large delay between picture and audio.

QuestionI purchased two of these. I noticed the sound quality is really bad. There is an echo in the voice and audio is not loud enough. I had used an HDMI and optical cable but found no difference. Does anyone have any suggestions?

- Answer Yes! It’s the settings menu of the actual sound bar, there’s an option that allows the sound bar to remain on when the tv is cut off.

QuestionCan’t get subwoofer to link to soundbar. Not using an hdmi cable. Using optical cable, the home screen with the soundbar settings doesn’t display. So I do not know how to link up the soundbar and subwoofer without using tv. Can u help?

- Answer The subwoofer should automatically sync up with the sound bar all you have to do is turn on your woofer speaker and plug it in the wall of course and the Soundbar will automatically sync with the woofer there should be no installations or manual hookups as far as HDMI it should Bluetooth connect by itself I did not have a problem with it so you might have a bad sound bar / speaker woofer

QuestionI'm confused as to the different "Sound Effect" options in the setup menu. The three options are: "Sound Field On", "DTS Neo:6 Cinema", and "DTS Neo6: Music". What are the differences between the three? Should I just leave it on "Sound Field On"?

- Answer Right, I get that. But (on page 30), when you choose "movie" or "cinema" from the "Sound Field" button on the remote, is that the same thing as choosing [DTS Neo:6 Cinema] or [DTS Neo:6 Music] from the Settings in the main menu?
