QuestionI connected the audio to my (old) stereo as I had my previous TV through the red and white ports, and it's not working. Any help?

- Answer Hi Grayg, please make sure that your stereo is on the correct input. Additionally, you may have to change the speaker settings of the TV to Audio System. This can be achieved by pressing the Sync Menu button on the remote then going to Speakers. If it does not work, we advise using an audio system that utilizes an HDMI connection. Regards, -Mark

QuestionI need a bluray player for my new TV. Samsung seem to be the most popular/best ratings in my price range. any compatibility issues with this TV and a Samsung bluray? I have an Amazon Fire Stick so a streaming bluray player is not a big deal for me.

- Answer I had a Samsung Blu Ray player and I had several compatibility issues with my at the time Panasonic plasma tv and Sony receiver. I found getting your blu ray and receiver the same brand helps. It comes down to the copy protection used by each. Will you have issues with the Sony Tv and the blu ray I can't say but I will say probably.

- Answer Hi Tina, those black borders depend on the content you're watching. They appear depending on how the movie/show was encoded. You may try pressing the wide button to stretch the picture to your desired size. Thanks, -Mark

- Answer This TV comes with Netflix and YouTube installed, it not possible to add software to it but it does have 3 HDMI slots and 3 USB slots plenty to connect streaming devices like Ruku, Chromecast, and all that nonsense. OR, it is a smart TV so you can connect it to the internet either, wirelessly or LAN cable, to stream Amazon prime from your PC to the tv. Hope this helps.

- Answer There is no browser, but there are APPS. Youtube and Netflix are directly accessible through a remote. Yes, you can search within an app. (Ex, youtube search for Christmas Carols..etc.)

- Answer I've only had this TV for a couple of weeks but I did connect my Sony DVD player using the composite video and audio inputs with high quality cables, I believe they are Monster Cables. I've only tried one DVD to test my setup but was impressed with the picture quality...full screen (no black bars) and while it's not as good as HD cable or streaming the picture was excellent. Overall, I'm very happy with this TV.
