  • QuestionWhat’s the difference from this model to the XR55A80L?

    Asked by Rimrockcomputer2020.

    • Answer Hi Steve, Thank you for your inquiry! The main difference between the two models is the backlighting. The A80L uses the same OLED backlighting technology throughout the entire line up while the A95L uses Quantum Dot OLED technology making the A95L the premium QD-OLED on the market. In regards to the difference in picture quality, the A95L produces the brightest OLED picture that Sony manufactures but the dark images would be very similar to the A80L. With A80L TV, exceptional OLED picture and rich sound in perfect harmony, powered by the intelligent Cognitive Processor XR™. Billions of accurate colors and pure black make everything you watch and play come to life with natural hues and shades. Acoustic Surface Audio+™ turns the entire screen into a multi-channel speaker that follows the action on screen for a truly immersive viewing experience. And with the A95L, watching TV from the sides is truly satisfying. Our QD-OLED panel on the A95L keeps luminance constant for consistent colors across all viewing angles. Our brightest and widest range of colors and hues, all beautifully displayed on a QD-OLED screen powered by the intelligent Cognitive Processor XR. Hear true immersive cinematic audio with sound produced from the entire screen delivering an elevated sound stage and clear dialogue. Focus on the big picture with our minimalist design that fuses screen and bezel into a single slate. Hope this helps! Regards, Sam

    Asked by Bill.

    • Answer Hi Bill, Thank you for your question! The distance between the TV stand/legs of the XR55A95L is approximately 48”1/4 inch (1223 mm) for both standard and soundbar position. Hope this helps! Our flagship OLED TV powered by Cognitive Processor XR brings out our widest color and definitive contrast. For movies, games and more, everything is a deeply immersive experience in 4K QD-OLED. And with Acoustic Surface Audio+, sound comes directly from the right place in the scene. Far more immersive than conventional TVs where sound comes from beneath the screen. Regards, Sam

  • QuestionDoes the A95L OLED have burn in problems? Also what streaming apps does it come with and can I get FOX News Channel and Discovery Plus?

    Asked by Nathan.

    • Answer Hi Nathan, Thank you for your interest in the Sony A95L! The Sony A95L OLED TV, like other OLED TVs, can experience image retention or burn-in if static images are displayed for long periods or repeatedly. • QuestionWhat is the difference between this model and the XR-55A95K?

    Asked by Clay.

    • Answer Not much. The L version is brighter due to the next generation qd oled panel but both have a great picture. Once you get to use the tv it is very easy to move around with the installed software. Both models have many applications that can be downloaded. Once the application is loaded it is accessible on your Home Screen. myself prefer the L version due to its brightness but whatever you select I do not think you will be disappointed.

  • QuestionI want to attach a hearing aid transmitter to the optical digital audio output and also use the tv speakers at the same time. Is this possible? In other words, can I enable the optical digital audio output and the tv speakers simultaneously?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Hello there, Thank you for choosing Sony! We appreciate your question and are happy to assist you. Yes, on the XR-55A95L, you can use both the optical digital audio output and the TV speakers simultaneously. To do this, connect your hearing aid transmitter to the optical port. Then, navigate to Settings → Sound → Audio Output, and ensure that "TV Speakers" is selected. Next, set the Digital Audio Out format to PCM to provide a compatible signal for your transmitter. Additionally, if your hearing aids support Bluetooth, you can connect them directly to the TV via Bluetooth as well. This setup allows your optical transmitter to function alongside the TV speakers and Bluetooth hearing aids, enabling audio through all devices at the same time. • QuestionI am 10 feet away from my TV. 55 or 65? The AL 95 in 65 is out of my budget whereas the 55 isn’t. I can afford the Bravia 8 in 65 though. Is there a significant improvement in picture quality between these two models? Thanks.

    Asked by Bob.

    • Answer Hi Bob, Thank you for the question. From 10 feet away either size would work well. If you plan on viewing from other areas, it will benefit you to get 65". The A95L is brighter than the BRAVIA 8 so if watching it in a bright environment the A95L would perform better. Both TVs utilize the XR processor so upscaling and motion would be very similar. Hope this helps in your decision process. Thank you for considering Sony! Best regards, Romeo
