QuestionMy kids threw a remote at my beautiful 65 inch Sony 900e and broke the screen. I have attached pictures below. Has anyone replaced the screen of this TV? And is it worth replacing or just buy another set. My heart literally aches when I see my TV.

- Answer Use a microfiber cloth EX. Like the ones used to clean sunglasses with. Also no need to spray any type of chemicals on it.

QuestionI have this tv, and when I go to settings in the tv menu, the tv says it is up to date but the firmware is not the same as the latest firm update on the Sony site. The tv is connected to the network. Why is the tv not recognizing the latest update ?

- Answer Mostly likely Sony has not pushed out the update, but can be downloaded from Sony site. I believe it says install at own risk, may be beta still not sure. I am also waiting on update to see if it addresses some of the TV features as well as controlling local dimming better making colors more. Vibrant like the 830E and fixing the blooming issues this TV has!

QuestionSay the main video board goes out 13 months after it was purchased (30 days after the 1 year limited warranty expires) will Sony ship a replacement part? I think not! Will Best Buy, who originally sold this TV as "their best", recommend it a second time?

- Answer Lol. As with any product, faulty ones occasionally make it to pos. BB has access to data that we dont. If 1 in xxx,000 units go bad, its ridiculous to expect them to stop touting how amazing the tv is.

QuestionWhy does Sony require 11 7/8" clearance above a wall mounted tv and other manufacturers require only 3-4" above? I understand the need for ventilation, but why such a big difference?

- Answer Hi rellie, this is for safety purposes. Inadequate ventilation can lead to overheating of the TV and may cause damage to your TV or cause a fire. Thanks! ^Ron
