QuestionSoundbar doesn't connect to Bluetooth or any other Input and When I press Bluetooth it will say not in use. Whenever I want to change the Input, the remote won't function and when I press Home it wouldn't function.Please How can You help on this.

QuestionHi all, if playing a Dolby atmos DVD should the screen on the front of the Sony soundbar show that it is playing atmos as mine doesn't, even though I am using a xbox 1x with the Dolby atmos app installed. Hdmi is direct to soundbar then arc to TV arc

- Answer If your playback devices is directly connected to the Tv, and sound bar connected to TV’s ARC HDMI port. Then your Tv MUST support Dolby Atmos decoding or passthur. Otherwise you have to connected all your Dolby Atmos devices directly to the sound bar’s HDMI in order for Dolby Atmos audio format to work. This is in the user manual.

QuestionHi I have a samsung Q series TV and thinking of getting the new samsung 8k TV. I am deciding between this and the HW-N950 but leaning more towards the Sony. Would this work perfect with the samsung TV?

QuestionIs it possible to play two rear speakers via the sony STRDN1080 in synchronisation with sony HT ST5000 speakers from the TV (Samsung Qled 7) (films, streamed music etc.)

- Answer Hello, Not sure they would sync properly. I'm looking at the SRS-ZR5 speakers to add rear speakers to my ST5000. They are not cheap ($200 each) and do disable the streaming function while setup for surround sound. Sony also recommend the SRS-ZR7, SRS-X77, X88, X99, HG1, HG2 and HG10. This option to me seems like a better choice as they are guaranteed to be compatible. You could probably do away with the STRDN1080 and just run everything through the sound bar. Good luck! Ken

QuestionDo you still get 4k pass through using hdmi and optical lf the tv does not have arc input

- Answer From my understanding it just allows you to use only one cable (HDMI) if you use the arc input. I believe if you if you use another HDMI, you would need an audio output cable as well. QuestionHello bought this and it sounds great! However, I was told I could listen to CD Changer with OPTICAL cable. Hooked up optical from soundbar to CD Changer and don't even know what input to use.

QuestionWe have a 75 inch 4k TV and Sony sound bar with 19 ft ceilings in an open room. What is the best set up on the sound bar for this? We're having a hard time getting it right.

- Answer Make sure to subtract the height of where you have your TV setup (wall mount or table top), that will make a difference. Then play with the settings 1/2 a foot up or down, that should give you better sound.

QuestionHave Sony 65 a1e and Sony Projector. If possible how would I hook up both. Can I run a hdmi switch, to switch between TV and Projector ?? since there is only the one hdmi to TV out put. Any suggestions.

- Answer If you use a hdmi splitter with 4K hdr it will split the one hdmi signal to 2 sources the rocket fish Rf-g1603 will do the job for you then just turn on the device you want to use or both to get the same signal to both the tv or projector

QuestionHow would this Sony 7.1,2 soundbar interface to the Sony 65” OLED 4K TV, from an aesthetic (mounting below the 65”?) and connection perspective?

- Answer Connection is easy just use the arc hdmi input from tv to soundbar and the tv and soundbar will connect to each other seamlessly and the sound bar will automatically sync to tv remote and will turn the sound bar on and off with tv and switch inputs with tv also volume control able with tv remote, if wall mounting it’s slightly smaller in witdth than the tv but is slightly bulky due to its speaker arrangement and Atmos speakers placed on top of unit, best to look at unit in store to size up, mine sits under my 65-930E on a media center nicely with tv wall mounted.

QuestionI have a LG OLED B7 tv. Currently I use the TV remote to control everything using HDMI CEC (Amazon 4K TV, Blueray etc). Will the same work with the ST5000 even if I move the HDMI cables to the soundbar?

- Answer Go to settings on your Xbox -Audio devices -Output -Bit stream out, select Dolby Atmos You can even download the Dolby App from the Xbox Store, it'll also provide instructions.

- Answer Hey David from Sony- Seeing as how this is a sound bar, I’m pretty sure they are asking about rear speaker capability in that regard. The real answer is NO- you CANNOT add rear speakers to this bar and it’s a shame. So please stop spreading misleading information.

QuestionPurchased the Sony 7.1.2 soundbar & set it up today (2/3/19). first couple of hours worked great sounds amazing. Now there’s a popping noise coming from the soundbar & at first it popped & made noises then turned off. Now just a random popping noise. ???

- Answer I've had the same issue. Judging from Sony's support site, it seems this is pretty widespread. No responses from them as of yet. I did try to turn my subwoofer on/off to no avail. Best of luck

QuestionWith this unit, I understand the Subwoofer is wireless but has anyone come across a way to wire it to the soundbar? I would imagine it sounds great with the current wireless setup but wiring it would effectively insulate the sound.
