Q: QuestionCan you take photos using this camera or is it mainly for recording? Just starting out and wanted to know if this is ideal for photography. Also is the battery rechargeable?

• A:Answer It takes great pictures but it is marketed for video. I bought it for both. The biggest drawback for taking photos is the lack for a view finder.
