QuestionI have a Sony TV that does not have an HDMI input. In the Specifications section, it lists Comp. Video Outputs - 2. Per the User Manual from Sony.com for the same player on page 13 it only has HDMI, Coaxial, and LAN output. Which is true? Thank you.

- Answer It has a Digital out (one green component jack) and HDMI jack. I was not able to find newer players with component jacks, unless you buy the real expensive ones! I swapped my old one to the TV for component input and bought this one to match my Sony TV. Works Great! Hope that helps.

QuestionDolby Atmos and seamless branchingIs this player fully compatible with Dolby Atmos? Can this player output in BITSTREAM audio and play Blurays that have "seamless branching"?

- Answer DOLBY WEB SITE says all current Blueray players [HDMI v1.4] will pass Atmos bitstream on to the receiver, as well as AC3 5.1, 7.1 and other Dolby and I think DTS bitstream codes.The Blueray player does not need Atmos or other decoders,it passes on bitstream for decoding.The decoders the player has are 2 channel mixes for TV and Sound bars. - Answer We have had this player for a few weeks now. Had to pause the new Beauty and the Beast movie several times today do to grandbabies. Lol. It starts playing immediately when you push play. Picks up exactly where paused. Streaming movies from Amazon seems to work pretty well to ! Hope this helps.

- Answer Yes, it can switch to captioned/subtitles when streaming Netflix. We were watching a BBC show and having a difficult time with the accents and different "English" words they use. We stopped it in the middle of the show and turned on the captions with a click of the button. Great.
