QuestionI can't get the player off letterbox for dvds or Netflix. 46 in tv 16:9. I turned off letterbox on menu. I was replacing an old Samsung Blu ray player that was working ok, just wanted a newer one. I did not have that problem on old one.

- Answer Not sure why you'd want to but if you need to chop off picture information, you would have to use the zoom function on your television. This player does not have a zoom function.

- Answer Just connect the HDMI cable to the receiver. On the player, make sure that digital audio output is set to AUTO and that the BD audio mix is set to OFF.

- Answer Go into Set-up. Go to audio settings and select AUTO Any source using digital audio will automatically be utilized. There is no separate setting for bitstream

- Answer Hello cheekoo, thank you for your message. Bitstream refers to compressed audio signals. Although Bitstream allows for the transfer of larger data using fewer bit-rates, the reproduced audio may not be completely lossless. To the contrary, LPCM is an uncompressed audio signal. The HD Audio (Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD High Resolution Audio, and DTS-HD Master Audio) is not output by bitstream. Oscar.

QuestionCan this Blue Ray Player play Dual Layer Blue Rays or technically referred to as BD-50 Blue-Ray disc? I do not believe that the PS3 can play them at all. Is BD-50 the most current version of blue ray disc?

QuestionI have a Sam 60"4k 6300 TV. I run my Blu-Ray HDMI through my AMP, a Yamaha RX-A3000. The AMP is not 4k but, with this Blu-Ray player, will I still get the up-scaling quality running the HDMI through the AMP or do I have to run the HDMI straight to the TV?

- Answer This player will work great with any TV via a HDMI connection. I have it connected to an LG 55" 4K LED. If your TV is not 4K, you could save a few bucks and just get a 1080p Blu-ray player. If you are looking to be ready for a new TV when you get one..this player is set up for a new 4K display. but this player should still give a great picture on an older 1080p TV.

Questiondoes this play all the new dvds that older players dont and will it all ways be updated in the future to be able to play if they change them again. i have a vizio and they dont do updates and nothing new plays so i need to know before purchase thanks

- Answer Yes, it has played all my old ones and so far it has played all my newest ones. I set mine to update and it's done this twice since I have purchased. The updates are a little slow but your internet speed has to do with a lot of that. I have Vizio HD TV but I play everything through this player and the picture is 4K amazing. I have purchased two other brand 4K players and I had problems with updates and not playing particular dvd's. No problem so far with this one. Very happy with this one and bought one for every family member, they love it too. Well worth the price.

QuestionI have Sony wireless headphones i use for tv. I have a Sony blu ray dvd player (bdp 56500) and tried to use headphones while watching a dvd but i cannot pick up sound. Would a cable hooked from headphone base to tv work? Headphones are wireless.

- Answer should, they only can broadcast the feed going into them. Surprised it didn't work while the blu ray was connected to the tv. Worth a try or a problem somewhere with bad connection it sounds like
