  • QuestionDoes the box ship from BestBuy unsealed? I received the speakers, and was surprised that it wasn't taped up or sealed. I opened the box, take a speaker out and there's a small gash on the speaker. It was supposed to be new, but I think I got refurbished.

  • QuestionCould you mount these above the TV or do they have to be mounted at ear level? Stands are not an option due to kids and there are windows around the tv

    • Answer One of the pluses of this system is it's ability to adapt where the speakers are and create that 'acoustic bubble' they speak about. There is an option in the system to set the 'height' of the sound field. If the TV is above, setting this to 'higher' will have the center channel be higher where to TV is which could remedy the concern

  • Questionhow's the wireless connection? HT-A9 experienced often drops, did this improve?

    • Answer Sony boast it's updated the wireless modules and all in this model by 2.5x. I have the system and have yet to experience any dropouts (though I do maybe have it in a good spot away from routers or other interferences)

  • QuestionIf the subwoffer is not included then Why does it say in the specification that the subwoffer is included. The subwoffer is the reason I purchase the system. Please see the attached picture.

    • Answer There's still a subwoofer in each of the Sony Quad soeaker enclosers. The external subwoofer (either the Sony SA-SW3 200W or Sony SA-SW5 300W) is optional.

  • QuestionCan you run an hdmi from a receiver to the bravia quad so as to utilize other components (AppleTV, DVD, etc) in receiver and then hdmi from receiver to tv? Or will the amp be too much power going to the quad system?
