- Answer I can't imagine a boombox having enough power to run these. You would need a receiver with 100 watts per channel.

- Answer I don't see any reason why you couldn't. It doesn't specifically mention the speakers to be only for the rear.

QuestionWhat speaker wires and banana plugs should you use to connect to a turntable?

- Answer Any kind of 16 gauge speaker wire will be perfectly fine. As for banana plugs...that'll depend on your turntable or receiver. The speakers just plug into raw wire, and I know that my Sony STR-DH190 receiver will take raw wire too. Either way, there are a lot of myths about 'quality' cables, etc. Don't believe everything you read. It sounds like you're using just a decent entry level/mid grade set up as it is, so the things I recommended for ya will do just fine.

QuestionI have a vintage Kenwood component stereo system. Bought in about 1983. Unfortunately the speakers are blown. Connected to stereo with wire. Are these speakers compatible to use as replacements?

- Answer These should work with any analog signal input. Just make sure you don't try to play them too loud. Hook up the receiver/amp output wires to the back of the speakers (black to black and red to red)

- Answer I wouldn't recommend it. Since soundbars are powered systems that don't require external amplification, they don't pair well with amplified systems. These speakers require the use of a receiver/amplifier.

QuestionI purchased these with the tower speakers, center and dolby atmos . Hooked them up to the sony dh790. Would the next receiver up from this one be that big of a difference? I don't plan on running two zones or adding anymore speakers .
