A:Answer Your setup probably has more magnification, but this would have considerably better image quality. This lens is not made for still imaging but was built from the mount forward as a cinema quality fixed aperture zoom. You have to compromise zoom range to achieve stable fixed aperture and multi element design to eliminate or significantly minimize zoom breathing and such. If you primarily make movies or commercial video, this lens rocks. If you want an exceptional portrait or sports lens there are probably better solutions. For portraits, the 90 f2.8 macro from Sony is particularly nice.
