QuestionI'm looking for a receiver that will connect to my tv via bluetooth or wifi. If the TV is on and I am using my alexa remote to control the tv, can I also control the receiver with my alexa remote? I have a Samsung Q60T Series TV.

- Answer Hi lookingforcompatibleproducts, thank you for your question. Alexa can only control TVs capable of having the Alexa app. Unfortunately, this receiver is not capable of downloading/installing the Alexa app because it is not an Android and it does not have internet functionality. ~Earl

QuestionIs the line out rca a regular line out? I want to feed music to this receiver from my smartphone via blutooth, and have the Sony drive my outdoor speakers, but would like to also use the line out to tie it to my second receiver for my indoor speakers

- Answer This Sony line out is for recording like old tape recorder. You can use Bluetooth or Portable in to connect your phone to this Sony and play music to the outdoor speaker as long as you can run the outdoor speakers cable to this Sony as speaker A or B but you can not connect it via a second receiver for your indoor speaker via Line out. What you can do is to run the speakers cable to outdoor speakers as speaker A and connect to this Sony. Run another speakers cable to the indoor speakers as speaker B and connect to this Sony. Use your smart phone to pair the Bluetooth or plug it into Portable In and play music from there. Use remote for speaker A or and B for your music. Hope it will help!

- Answer Yes you can buy connecting two of your speakers to the A output and connect one of your speakers to the B output. Then on speaker selection select A plus B.

- Answer Not sure what you are asking. The Phono Pre-amp is built in. If you turn off the receiver, the pre-amp will be turned off. You don't need a separate pre-amp to connect a turntable.

QuestionI wanted to purchase the Q Acoustics 3020i speakers which have a 6 Ohm impedance and 4 minimum impedance and power input of 25-75W. Will I be able to set the receiver at 6 Ohm to pair it with the speakers? If so, how do you set it to a specific number?

- Answer Hi Chelsea, thanks for your inquiry. By default, the impedance rating of this receiver is set to 8 OHM. When you connect all the speakers with a nominal impedance of 8 ohms or higher, set “SP IMP.” to “8 OHM”. In other connections, set it to “6 OHM”. - Answer Hi JBaker, thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, no. It is not possible to connect an add-on equalizer/amplifier to current Sony AV receivers. Most Sony receivers feature a built-in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Equalizer. The addition of an equalizer is not needed and would provide no additional benefit to the overall sound output of the receiver. Hope this helps. -Sam

- Answer You are limited to 2 pairs of speakers. Speaker A normally That is 2 front left and right and an additional Speaker B can be in another location left and right speakers. Or similar setup. If you want to put ceiling speakers in multiple rooms you will be limited to 2 rooms. This is a stereo 2 channel system so I believe speakers have to be setup as a left and right pair for best audio/listening experience.

QuestionCan you connect a 4 or 6 way channel switch? Say you have 4 speakers and a subwoofer. Connect the switch to channel A then feed the 4 speakers into the channel switch and keep the sub connected to channel B. Would the amp handle? Speakers same ohm rating.

- Answer Not sure if your trying to set up two areas for listening But I can tell you the system I did was that the A speaker output on amp went to sub woofer and from sub woofer out to 2 speakers and b speaker outlet from amp went directly to the other 2 speakers left and right . I am very happy with this receiver so far, good value for the money
