- Answer Hello Antenna, Unfortunately, you cannot connect an OTA antenna to the AV receiver. Full operation is not guaranteed. The antenna terminal is only for FM radio. Regards, David

We also recommend using speaker wires that are anywhere between 12 to 16 gauge. These are most commonly used for connecting speakers to an amplifier or an Audio/Video (A/V) receiver. - Answer Hi Joe, If the receiver is connected to a TV's HDMI input jack compatible with eARC or ARC function, you can listen to TV sound from the speakers connected to the receiver without connecting an optical digital cable or an audio cable. Set the receiver by the following procedure to output the sound of the TV from the speakers connected to the receiver. Make sure that the control for HDMI on your AV receiver is on. - Answer Hi bob, Thank you for the interest! We recommend connecting speakers with a nominal impedance of 6 ohms to 16 ohms. We also recommend using speaker wires that are anywhere between 12 to 16 gauge. These are most commonly used for connecting speakers to an amplifier or an Audio/Video (A/V) receiver. - Answer Hello NYWestGuy, Yes, to fully enjoy theater-like multi-channel surround sound, you need five speakers (two front speakers, a center speaker, and two surround speakers) and a subwoofer. - Answer Hello Customer, You can set up 2.1 channel If you select [Front Surround] for the sound field setting, you can enjoy surround effects equivalent to that of a 5.1-channel speaker system using only the two front speakers. - Answer Hi JEV, Yes, you can use 5.1.2-channel speaker system using top middle speakers or front height speakers. Just make sure that the speaker pattern is set to 5.1.2. QuestionHow can I connect a RG6 style coaxial cable to the receiver for pass thru? Is there a converter I need to use to transition from the RG6 to RCA or HDMI? Or is there a way to do it non-pass thru-connect the RG6 to the TV and HDMI out back to the receiver?

- Answer Hi Woodzee, Thank you for your interest in the STRDH790. Unfortunately, there is no option to connect an RG6 coaxial cable to the receiver. We recommend connecting a regular digital coaxial cable from your TV to the receiver for audio and HDMI connection for video. But, if your TV supports HDMI ARC, you can connect the receiver to your TV via HDMI ARC on both ends for video and audio pass-through. -Sam
