- Answer Hi John, Thank you for the inquiry! When matching speakers and Audio/Video (A/V) receivers, the ohm rating of the speaker should be equal to or greater than the ohm rating of the receiver to avoid a risk of hardware damage. Any speakers that feature bare wire connection will work to this receiver, as long as their impedances are from 6 to 16 ohms. Regards, David

- Answer Yes you can. I bought this system a month ago and use it in my house. You will need to purchase a center speaker as well as 6 additional book style speakers with base to get 7.1 sound. All speakers should be passive with the exception of the base. Klipech makes a good surround sound speaker system package so you might check that out JBL also has some great speakers. You cannot use this system with a surround bar

QuestionWhen connected with HDMI cables between the tv and the receiver and cable box to the receicer, can you watch the tv without having to turn on the receiver or listen to music while watching tv?

- Answer At set up, if you paired your receiver to the tv, then No. When you turn on your tv, it also turns on your receiver to match what your watching. If you did not pair your receiver, then each is separate and you can watch tv and listen to music !!! Hopefully this helps !!! ... Bill

When matching speakers and Audio/Video (A/V) receivers, the ohm rating of the speaker should be equal to or greater than the ohm rating of the receiver to avoid a risk of hardware damage. - Answer I don't think the Bose 900 smart sound bar can be paired with a receiver like this Usually sound bars are stand alone devices that already have a built in amplifier So it defeats the purpose of a sound bar to try and pair it with a receiver The type of speakers you're going to want to use with it are floor standing speakers/bookshelf speakers A center channel speaker A subwoofer And satellite speakers/ in ceiling speakers

- Answer It does not. I just have mine connected to my TV that is capable of 120hz and only have the TV out connected on my receiver so I use my TV inputs instead of the receiver inputs which is no trouble

QuestionHaving audio issues on ARC playback. I turn on the tv one moment it works turn off the tv and then on again the sound doesn’t come on or it will be delayed. I tried turning off EARC. Was me turning off EARC the solution? Note my tv does not support EARC
