Q: QuestionThis is a Great Blue Ray 4k Ultra HD Dvd Player Model UBP X800. When i put in a 4K Ultra Hd Disk Its great except the picture in the movie plays Night Scenes it is so Dark It that Normal For The 4k Ultra Hd.

Q: QuestionI bought the Sony UBP X800 4k BR player. I guess my Polk Magnify Soundbar doesn't support Master DTS:X so I'm not getting the benefit of the audio. Also, Dolby Digital passes through but most discs are that narrative in dolby. What can I do.

• A:Answer Get a receiver with HDMI connections. Need external speakers. For 5.1 effect you need 2 front speakers 1 central and 2 back speakers which your receiver should be able to handle. Video to the 4K TV and sound to the receiver via high speed HDMI cables (they are expensive)

Q: QuestionWhen I set the sound in a 4k movie menu to 5.1 or 7.1 my marantz reciver showes the input signal as multi channel in with all 11 channels lite up . This also happens when I watch Netflix threw the player .

Q: QuestionIt says this Sony 4k dvd player will decode Dolby Atmos, but I just found out my Sony receiver doesn't. Since the player will decode the Atmos will the receiver accept it and pass it through as Atmos or change it to something else?

• A:Answer It may, but it’s a piece of junk and it locks up and won’t respond and you have to unplug it to reset it several times a week. Read my review. Sony knows of the problem but won’t fix it. I’m trying to warn people. Unreal at this price point. Buy something else!!!!

Q: QuestionWill this player play back self produced "home movies" as UHD 4k content .mov or h.264 files from an external drive and does it have that connectivity via a usb port?

• A:Answer I have not reed an external USB hard drive but it does play from thumb drives. I also found an app called Serviio which let's me stream directly from my home computer to the X800, although Wifi may not handle 4k streaming so well, I get an occasional pause as it buffers.
