A:AnswerIt appears that Starlink service is available in Jamaica, and Starlink has made service available to residents who are impacted by Hurricane Melissa free through the end of November 2025. I am not sure if this will apply to someone who is bringing it with them. On roam plans as I understand it you are able to roam for a period of time in another country without extra fees if you stay within your plan allowed data.
A:AnswerStarlink mini is very convenient it's a all in one router built in plug in and set proper orientation and that is all you need to do. Mine sits outside my camper and I get good connectivity dont need a bypass router even though you can use one for extended range wired directly to your mini
A:AnswerYou can use the regular sized dish or the mini with the Roam plan. The mini is just more compact and easier to set up, you connect power and it has the wifi router built in. The regular one has a bigger dish and requires you to run the dish cable to the router and into power. I’m not sure if I answered your question but feel free to ask more and I can definitely give you more answers
A:AnswerI will not lie, it is really slow, but once running, it picks up. This is my biggest disappointment because when I set up everything, 6 devices, and kept all running, I was out of high-speed in 10 days.
A:AnswerYou can purchase a cigarette lighter plug, If your solar panel charges your house batteries, you shouldn’t have a problem. To Run off of solar panel directly, you’ll need some type on charge controller with usb ports, then find a usb port power for the Starlink. You shouldn’t have a problem granted you have enough wattage in your solar panels. But there are so many options out there to power this thing, you shouldn’t have a problem finding what you need! I hope this helps.
A:AnswerNo. Only a house wall plug comes with it and a very long cord. The cord can unplug from the wall power unit, allowing to plug into other power options. There are many options available to power this unit on the go.
A:AnswerThe Mini does not come with a battery. That would need to be purchase separately. To see the specifications on the Mini, check out this link: https://www.starlink.com/public-files/specification_sheet_mini.pdf
A:AnswerActivate it in the country you intend to use it, but you can buy it anywhere. This is according to their policy. I had no issue doing that and using it in Europe.
