It will work but there will be a crop factor as the lens is not a full frame lens. It's made for APS-C sized sensors.

(Hmm... if you are looking for lenses come in any BBY store and we can help you get the right lenses for what you shoot. We can let you try lenses out on your camera- or our display camera. We can also order what is not in our stock.) (Costa Mesa and San Bernardino are "Pro" shops so will have more lenses on hand... assuming you are in CA) Below are some Canon L-series 'luxury' lenses. If you are going to shoot professional stuff you will get the use out of either of these lenses to justify the cost. You got the best camera, right? These are high end "all in one" telephoto lenses...
