QuestionI've never pre-ordered a game before so my question is stupid anyways, the actual game is in there?...like the disc, correct?

- Answer Yes. Each version of the game will come with different gear. This particular version , Special Edition , comes with a 48-page mini art book from Dark Horse and Steelbook with the physical copy of the game. Basically , you are pre-ordering for the Steelbook and mini-book. Other versions include just the physical copy of the game , Collectors Edition , and Ellie Edition. The Ellie and Collectors Edition come with lots of stuff. Collectors Edition - 12" Ellie statue, 48-page mini art book from Dark Horse , Lithograph art print and Thank You letter , Replica of Ellie's bracelet, Set of 6 enamel pins and 5 stickers, SteelBook case with full game. Ellie Edition - Same stuff along with a The Last of Us Part II logo patch.

QuestionWhy is Best Buy the only store that has the Last of Us 2 Special Edition available for preorder. Everywhere else says unavailable except for the standard edition.

QuestionDid Best Buy oversell the Special Edition? It’s Friday and my order is listed as Delayed. I can’t cancel the order. What the heck? Only logical conclusion is they sold more preorder than we’re really available. Anybody else stuck in this boat?

- Answer Yes.... which is upsetting since I bought it March 30, 2020... I don't know what I should do tbh. If I should call best buy and tell them my concern or just wait it out.. I haven't even at least gotten my digital version code to at least play with that....

- Answer *Best Buy when people pre order 6 months prior: "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAH. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHA HAHHHAAHAHAH AAHAAHHAHAHAH thanks for your money you idiot" Your not going to get your order. They're so incompetent they can't even send out a delay notice until the delay is obvious because it's release day and the game is nowhere.

- Answer I believe it was available for pre-order but is now sold out. You may have to wait until after release day or until they restock pre-orders.

- Answer I’m thinking it will happen. We recently did it for Doom Eternal while we were doing this COVID-19 model of our business, and this game is going to be the biggest game of the year. I have a feeling you will be able to pick it up the day before. We release to Doom Eternal at 3 PM the day before it came out, due to the stores closing at 6 PM. I can’t guarantee it but we’ve done the same for other games, and they were nowhere as big as the last of us 2.

- Answer No and no. This version comes with a steelcase instead of the standard case, which is going to be more valuable and stylish. You can always pick up a standard case on eBay if you'd like though. Otherwise, you'll have to buy the standard edition to get the standard case.

- Answer Nah, only physical. It would be nice if they gave you the digital code since they’re not shipping the physical copy and they’re not telling those of us who preordered when we’ll be getting it. Don’t buy from Best Buy!

- Answer Either bots are buying them all up or the site is glitched. Since people are reporting that it is letting them buy it I imagine it's the former; I've gotten all the way to payment information and it kicked me out. Was hoping for some overstock from canceled pre-order's or whatnot as the standard edition artwork is super ugly IMO.

- Answer I do not know if this 'special edition' will be restocked. I think the best chance you will have to get this special edition will be from a site like eBay. There are plenty of people re-selling their special editions on sites like that. If Best Buy will be restocking it, I want them to respond to confirm that for you.

QuestionOn the official Last of Us Part II website, it says that the Special edition also comes with a digital soundtrack, redeemable witha voucher provided. But Best Buy doesn't include it in the description, just the themes and avatars. Is it still included?

- Answer Soundtrack voucher is on the actual disc set. All they mentioned to be extra with the pre order (to me at least in store) was ammo upgrade and a crafting tutorial

- Answer Because Best Buy is awful at getting pre orders out on time. I’m sorry to say but you should go to another company for your purchases. I did. Picked up the special edition at GameStop instead of waiting 4 days.
