• A:Answer No, if you move the pot the electromagnets beneath the pot are activated. The problem is the circuit boards don't last long and are very expensive to replace.

• A:Answer Hello Girl, thank you for your question. When installing model CIT36YWBB, there needs to be a minimum distance of 2" from the rear wall and 2 1/2" minimum distance from the counter front.

Q: QuestionDoes this require ventilation, either a down draft or hood?

• A:Answer I would always demand that any cooking surface have a hood - even the cheesy recirculating hood is better than none. That being said, I do not believe there are any code requirements that demand you have a down draft or hood. The device certainly doesn't require one - although there does need to be space underneath it to allow for the circulation of air.

Q: QuestionCan the stove temperature be controlled via app or wirelessly. For example, would i be able to place my pan on the stove, walk away, set temperature to 200F and wait until my product is done, then without moving, control the temperature down or turn off?

It is recommended to operate the appliance directly from the appliance itself and always monitor during the cooking process. Therefore, it is not possible to operate the appliance using the Home Connect™ app during this time.
