- Answer Hello There, The F200 Dash Cam does not require you to connect each use. When connected to the Dash Cams WiFi and are using the Mobile App, the dash cam is not recording footage until disconnected. Ensure you are not driving connected to the Dash Cam and connect only to change settings, view videos and such. Kind Regards, Thinkware Customer Support

- Answer Possibly a bad connector or a short in the wire. If the Geek Squad installed it, schedule an appointment to have them look at it.

QuestionI just purchased a Thinkware F200D front and rear with Hard Wire Kit , i had it installed by a professional installer, It only works when my headlights come on at night, why isn't this Dash Cam working during daylight hours and not even in Parking Mode?

- Answer It sounds to me like your professional installer didn't double check his work. There are two cables (red and yellow) on the hardwire kit, one that goes to battery (or always on) power and another that is supposed to go to the accessory (only when the car is on) power. There was an issue with some hardwire kits that were sold were they were labelled incorrectly, resulting in issues like what you're describing. You may need to have them switched around.

- Answer Hello There, When plugged in and powered on the Rear Cam will have a Blue LED on facing the interior of the vehicle. This is a status light and not a security LED.

- Answer Hello There, In Parking Mode both the Front and Rear Camera will detect motion. This feature is only accessible with the Hardwiring Cable installed.

QuestionDoes this system have a cable or is it wireless to the back camera. If wireless how far is the range. I'm pulling a trailer with total length of about 12 feet from rear window. In order to see behind me it should be attached the rear of trailer.

- Answer Not wireless. Rear camera is wired to connect to the front camera, and the front camera is wired to connect to a power socket and/or fuse box. Up to you on how you want to hide wires. If you're planning on using the rear camera to see what's going on behind the trailer as you drive, you'll need to be running the mobile viewer to show what the view is. But when you run the mobile viewer, the camera won't be recording and saving any video files from the front or rear cameras.

- Answer You can download them to your phone, and upload them to the cloud. The only wifi connection it has is the one built in that allows you to connect and managed the device. Something like what you are asking for is usually found in devices that cost thousands of dollars. Like when a bus returns to a yard with wifi, it would upload its days events...not with this unit.
