QuestionIn addition to using the SD card for memory, is there an app? It would be so much easier to see the view of the dash cam with an app and download the recordings in the cloud. Thanks, Sonia

- Answer The 8gig card I use records approximately 60 minutes, WITHOUT sound. After that it loops back and stars overwriting older footage.

- Answer Hi Chuck! This dash cam does have motion detection but it will need to be hardwired using the Thinkware hardwiring cable first. QuestionWe have a brand new F50 mounted in our Kenworth truck today The unit beeps and does incident recording very often. Sometimes several times per minute. I have set the unit to minimum sensitivity being #1 but it still does it Can I turn this sensor off?

- Answer Hi There, Unfortunately of the F50 this feature can only be turned down to Low. If you are experiencing a lot of beeping still, i'd recommend turning the volume down. Kind Regards, Thinkware Customer Support

QuestionMy car has the cigarette plug power on all the time, even when the car is turned off. So, will this dash cam go into auto sleep mode or do you have to turn it off each time, so it doesn't run down your battery?

- Answer I had this camera originally in a Chevy Cobalt which also had outlets that never turned off. I ended up purchasing the hardwire kit and tapped it into a fuse that switched off with the ignition.

- Answer Sounds like you either tapped into a fuse that doesn't switch off with the ignition or you have parking mode enabled. I would check to see what fuses are switched off when the ignition is off and try one of those. Don't want to run down your battery!

- Answer Hi there, With the included 8GB micro SD card the F50 comes with, the micro SD card will hold 62 mins of footage. Once the mico SD card is full it will record over top of the oldest footage. You are able to increase the size of the micro SD card up to a 64GB micro SD card, that will give up up to 496 mins of recording. Kind regards, Thinkware Customer Support

- Answer This product does not have a website to monitor the footage provided by this camera. The GPS antenna is not needed to monitor park mode.

- Answer Yes, but you need to hotwire it to your car so it continuous power, and no it doesn't come with the needed cord

- Answer You cannot . The F800 can only work with the similar F800R (rear) cam and therefore cannot be synched together.

QuestionWe bought a thinkware f50 for Christmas and so far we happy with it however it says on the SD card there are many files yet we can only view a few of them . I went through every folder and don't find any more than those we saw . Where else could they be?

- Answer I'm recommend purchasing a external Mini USB card reader and locating where those files might be . Otherwise download the Thinkware software via the THINKWARE Site . And look through all the preset folders.

- Answer Hi Frank, The F50 was designed to record facing to your windshield. While you can mount the dash cam to record the interior, video quality may be affected. Please note that this dash cam can only record from one direction. QuestionDoes this camera have good enough resolution to capture license plate numbers, say of a car that just hit you and is leaving the scene?

- Answer Depending on how fast the car is going and how close they are. The camera makes out plates very well when the car is maybe 15 or so feet in range but anything more than that and it gets a bit blurry.

QuestionI have a Thinkware F750 that was manufactured in May of 2016. I’ve had I’d for 1.5 years. Today, it all of the sudden could not be found on my WiFi. I’ve reset it multiple times to no avail. Customer support is a joke as usual. What now?

Questioni have a continous cigarette plug in the back of my suv (even if the engine is off theres a power supply. if i plug the F50 in there would it be the same as hardwiring it??

- Answer Yes, it would be the same as you connect the dash cam to the hot wire of your car. Doing this will keep your dash cam on all the times and it may drain your car battery. Normally, you have to connect it to the ignition wire. That means your dash cam is turned on only when start your car engine.

- Answer It records where the lens is pointed- so yes you can record inside the car if the lens is pointed toward the inside! And it continues to record what is being said or the radio or whatever noise is going on in the car but to record an action the lens will have to point in the direction you want to record!
