QuestionAre there any other mounting options besides the 3M tape ? I would like to be able to move it to other vehicles.

- Answer Hello There, With the F800 Dash Cam we only offer the 3M Adhesive Mount. The Dash Cam can be easily removed from the mount and moved into another vehicle. This would require a mount in each vehicle.

- Answer Hello George, The F800 does indeed have built-in GPS. You will not need the External GPS Antenna.

QuestionDoes f800 and f800 pro have the same cables? I am returning my f800 dash cam and ordered f800 pro in amazon. Can I return return the cables that will come from the thinkware pro cause geek squad already hardwired the cables front and back in my car.

QuestionI have ordered this thinkware f800 dash cam and have it installed in geek squad. It worked for 3 days and all of a sudden it wont turn on. tried another cigaret outlet still doesnt turn on. I will be returning the item and will buy the f800 pro in amazon.

QuestionI had a Garmin Dash Cam that would overheat in the summer and act flukey in cold weather. With this being mounted on the windshield, how will the direct sunlight while parked affect this item? I don't want to waste the money if it's going to fry itself.

- Answer My F50 overheated.. even with the “heat protection” and I think that fried the SD card… The F800 is a far superior camera and so far has held up to extreme colds and heats… During the winter time.. the battery was warm enough that I never had to scrape that part of the windshield… Hope that helps

- Answer Yes… you don’t need a smartphone for use.. set up can be done on a PC or a Mac… then return the SD card back to the camera

- Answer F800 has an internal capacitor sufficient for the dashcam to close the files that it is writing. If you order their hardwire kit, it requires +batt that is always on, then +Acc that goes on with the key, and ground. With both power lines, the camera can then transition between driving recording or parking recording modes. Also, you do not need 2 F800. You can order the F800 or F800Pro with the rear camera and cable accessory and the one device will record both front and rear. Note the F800 pro allows larger flash cards as well as some cloud and parking features.

- Answer Geek squad installs in store either way if you purchase your device in store or online. I purchased mine online and scheduled my appointment with auto geek squad online as well. I just had my device installed yesterday and I love it.

Questionhi i used to have a thinkware x500 front and rear hardwired by geek squad sadly it only last for 2 yrs then it quits on me it does not want to stay "on" so, now im planning to replace it with f800 can i still be able to use my existing cable?

- Answer Yes… you can have parking incident where it’ll only record stuff hitting you. There’s also time-lapse, where it chronicles the entire night in a time-lapse, and there’s also motion detection (separate from parking incident)

- Answer If you switch cars frequently, this will not work for you. It attaches to the windshield via 3M adhesive.

- Answer Yes they offer a rear camera. It is it's own wifi connection to your phone. Or you can connect by turning your phone into a hotspot. Parking mode can either be time lapse or motion detection. (Of course, my car is in an enclosed garage and it constantly sees things moving. As far as where to buy up there, you'll need to do your search.

Questionhave 700 model. How much power does it draw from the car battery when it is off? Off like when you set it to turn off after X hours. Was sick and did not drive for 5 days. The car would not start;had to jump it. Thought this was not supposed to happen.
