What is the expected lifespan of this dvr? null

From my experience as soon as the warranty expires. And the service you pay for yearly does not cover it.

My old TiVo is still running & working just as when I bought it. I've had it for 12 to 13 years. Remember each product is different even if they are they same model. There is no telling the real lifespan of any product but this unit has less mechanical parts than my first one.
