yes, it should work just fine. it functions as usb 2.0 aswell and xbox 360 has a factory 500gb hard drive, therefore, there should be no reason to worry.

It is possible if this HDD will formatted 1st with XBox 360 requirements. Also note, the game console can use 16Gb of space from an external USB HDD (i.e. 3.2% of its full size).
