- Answer No. This is a push button switch thus allowing power to the switch and also allowing a schedule to override the switch position. Use it and love it.

QuestionCan this be used to control the speed of a motor such as a fan? I have looked all over the TP-Link forum and other places, and can't find out if anyone knows if this works. I understand there is a 300W max. which is sufficient.

- Answer The dimmer switch will control the power going to whatever it is hooked up to. If you dim it to 50%, I believe it should provide 50% of the power to the electrical box that the switch is connected to. You should check with the fans manufacturer to see what happens if less than full power is delivered to it and if the fan would even work then. The ceiling fans that I have seen have a separate fan speed control that controls the speed of the fan by either a pull chain or remote.

QuestionIs there any Kasa smart switches that work with Amico recessed lights. Tried 3 hs2203p switches and none of them allowed power to go to the load. Regular diminable switches work but not the kasa switches I tried.

- Answer Hi! The Kasa HS220 supports the following Dimming Type: Leading Edge Dimming / TRIAC Phase Cut. If your bulbs do not utilize this dimming type, we cannot guarantee compatibility.
