This set transmitter and receiver are used to connect rear speakers to your receiver without running separate wires between the receiver and both rear speakers. Your Rocketfish transmitter connects up to your receiver (via speaker wire and plugs if needed) and the Rocketfish receiver connects to your rear speakers (via speaker wire and plugs if needed). A:AnswerI don't see why it wouldn't. The transmitter uses traditional speaker wire connections. I'm using it with a Marantz NR 1608. I know this is a new receiver but as far as i know, speaker wire connections have not changed much.
A:AnswerShort answer is no. Long answer, I have just purchased 2 sets of these and they work well for rear or side speakers. I connected them to my normal surround sound speaker (Infinity's). Only the 2 boxes included in this package require power, your speakers just connect using standard speaker wire.
A:AnswerSorry I wasn't more clear. When I power off my receiver, there is a loud pop. I have the since turned to power switch off on the transmitter and there is not a pop. I am thinking this unit may be defective.

A:AnswerThis will work as long as you don't use banana plugs (the large barrel shaped plugs). If your wire has the thin pin-style plugs this will work. If the wires have the banana plugs you will just need to remove the banana plugs and either just use the bare wire or replace them with the thinner pin-style plug tips.

A:AnswerI believe it's radio since it didn't require my wireless router for transmission. It has a sending unit and receiving unit for the speakers. I connected the sending unit to a Denon receiver, then transmitted the signal to the back speaker's receiving unit connected to the rear speakers.
