Questionusing with ceiling speakersI have a 7/1 system. I am moving next week and can not get the wires up my outside wall and into the ceiling so my question is, if i put the receiver end up in my attic (in the same room but in the attic) and plug it in up there and then into the speakers, will it work (with there being drywall between the transmitter and reciever)? I am seeing some responses that says it should go up to 100' and only loses about 20' for every wall and the 2 devices would be WELL within 80' of each other, more like 40'. Also, is there any reason for concern with having it plugged in up there?

- Answer I use this system for wireless stereo sound in my basement. I am going through a wall/floor. The receiver is about 40-50 feet from the transmitter and I have no problems (distortion, drop outs, etc.). Attic installation should be fine but it is a powered amplifier so there may be a little heat generation or ambient heat from the attic.

- Answer I had a similar problem. Turned out I had it plugged into a power strip with a surge protector/circuit breaker. Once I finally figured that out and reset the surge protector, everything worked fine.

QuestionHow do I obtain warranty service?I purchased mine in March of 2014. I no longer get audio via the kit. The speakers work fine when connected directly to my receiver. A second kit also works fine. I have tried repairing them multiple times. I made the purchase online for store pickup. I have tried calling Best Buy for support three times, but was transferred between departments each time and eventually my calls were disconnected and no one ever called me back, even though I provided my call back number. Should I bring the unit into the store for replacement? Per the Rocketfish one-year limited warranty, coverage is provided by Best Buy.

- Answer If it were me, I'd take the unit back to Best Buy if you haven't exceeded one year of ownership. Make sure you have your receipt and hurry!

- Answer My "guess" is that your problem is with a bad wiring connection, interference from a near-by electrical device running the same frequency, or with the Rocketfish boxes themselves. I'd check your system in the order mentioned above. Good Luck.

Questionconnection to a sub-woofer with wired left anf right connectionCan I use the wireless rear speaker kit to connect to a wired sub-woofer using my two front speaker wire at the same time using another Wireless for the rear speaker. example I have my 2 rear speaker using the Wireless Speaker kit and with another kit connect my sub-woofer using my two front speaker left and right wires.

- Answer not sure why google fiber affects your speakers?? the connection is bluetooth not wifi.

- Answer It will work with any system that provides outputs for "surround speakers". Don't know if your system is 5.1 or 7.1 but this box is designed for two speakers and comes with speaker wire. The wire provided is BARE wire...no RCA plugs at all so you may have to get creative if your unit has RCA type outputs, but it CAN be done. I leave mine on all the time and have not had a problem with initial pairing of the system or performance at all. BestBuy beat their own price on this two weeks after I bought it so that saved me an additional $20 smackers! Overall...I'm a happy camper.

Questionwhat would be a more efficient system and purchase?I was possibly going to purchase a 5.1 surround sound system which includes soundbar, 2 satellite speakers amd a subwoofer. I already own 4 satellite speakers and a subwoofer but the soundbar I have is broken and it would be somewhat difficult to purchase a 5.1 vizio soundbar without the other included speakers as they don't sell one separately. I wanted to connect an additional 2 satellite speakers with a subwoofer as well for a total of one soundbar, 2 subwoofers and 4 satellite speakers. Would it be a better idea to purchase a new soundbar that is 2.1 capable and then purchase 2 of the rocket fish products to connect the satellite speakers or should I purchase the 5.1 system and just one of the rocket fish products? Would I need an additional product for the subwoofer? If so what? Could I connect two subwoofers to a 5.1? And same question if I were to only use 2 satellite speakers as I will need a new soundbar either way but need to decide on 5.1 or 2.1 and figure out what would possibly be a better deal and what would sound better/be more efficient?

- Answer Your final setup will be determined by your budget, but my experience tells me to stick with one system for maximum efficiency and compatibility rather than mix and match hoping for the best. Good luck!

- Answer I'm using this with a Bose 5.1 surround system (the little cubes), and it works great, but I think you'd be disappointed trying to drive a larger speaker at any real volume.

- Answer As I understand it, the Rocketfish box in the rear is also the amplifier for the rear speakers, so that's pretty much it.

- Answer They have one not this one that works for rear speakers if you have a AV Amplifier I have both units on my amplifier hooked to my Samsung 4k TV works well together and no wires running across my floor to sub or rear channels. Hope this helps. There both made by same company and Best Buy carried them both.

QuestionCompatibility with V30 jewel cube speakers.My apologies for the last question for incorrectly specifying V30 jewel cube speakers as V20. Is this kit compatible with V30 Lifesytle Jewel cube speakers which are connected by a key connector (modeled in the wire itseld) on one end and RCA type connector that connects to the acoustimass module. If not are there any adapters which will make it compatible and are such adapters incudled in the kit.

- Answer This kit uses stripped wires for connections. Speakers I used are 6 ohm Yamaha wired speakers.

- Answer They will work. The only issue you might have is the wattage of the receivers amp. They would most likely be a bit quiet.

- Answer This kind of sounds like it's the CD channel on your receiver that's bad, not the Rocketfish speaker kit. If these sound good on movies and other things, then I'd have to point my finger to the receiver, since it uses different channels/relays/switches inside of itself when you switch to CD.

QuestionWhat does 11V RMS into 120ohms mean?I do not know much about amplification for audio systems. I am pretty confident that a Denon AVR-E400 does not have enough power to overpower the rocketfish wireless sender unit but I would like to know the formulas to figure out what voltage my receiver is giving at what ohms, and how those ohms pertain to the 120ohms on the Rockfish. Surround L/R 90 W + 90 W (8 Ω/ohms, 20 Hz - 20 kHz, THD 0.08 %) 125 W + 125 W (6 Ω/ohms, 1 kHz, THD 0.7%)

- Answer that would be a question for the geek squad techs - also have a friend in this area who is an engineer that does sound for large concerts - I know he would also know the answer - His name is David (Dave) Muddiman - he is quite the guru - he can be found on Facebook - either check with the geek squad or Dave. I can definitely say that the Geek Squad set up was A+ for me. Good Luck!!

QuestionRocketFish Wireless Rear Speaker Kit to power Bluetooth SpeakersI am trying to send music to Bluetooth Speakers outside of Bluetooth range. So my question is... Can I connect a Bluetooth Transmitter to the Rocketfish Receiver to send music to Bluetooth speakers? That way I can put the RocketFish Receiver about 40 feet away from the Home Theatre and the Bluetooth speakers another 10 ft away from the RocketFish/ Bluetooth Transmitter setup. (I can't run wires to where I want to put the Bluetooth speakers)

QuestionCreate a Zone 2If my HT receiver has no Zone 2 output, can I Connect in parallel the wired front speaks and a Rocket Fish Transmitter to be used for a Zone 2 set up in another room? ALso, I'm considering a Samsung home Theater and the speaker wires have propriotary connectors can these wires be spliced like any speaker wire?

- Answer It might work, but I'd question the sound quality. Also, you're further complicating things with those proprietary connections. You probably can modify them, but you may wind up destroying them in the process.
