QuestionI want to buy this tv for my dad who is 89 years old. he has a insignia 43 tv already mounted with a sound bar. I will buy vizio v tomorrow on one condition that someone just come and set it up for him since he is 89 and I am not paying for that.

- Answer Buy an easier to operate device , remote buttons small and confusing for my 89 year old dad , he had to get another tv (Samsung). Good luck.

- Answer No. You could not simply connect a VHS player to this TV. The TV would need software to grab the video and it does not have that. Your cable provider should have options for DVR
