A:AnswerMost any router today should be fast enough. However, your internet speed it what matters. It's recommended that you have at least 11mbps internet speed. Contact your internet provider if you're unsure of you speed, or try speedtest.net from your web browser.
A:AnswerWe in Texas are now on Frontier FiOS which was previously Verizon FiOS. The upscaling on the HD FiOS channels depends on the channel and source material; some of the HD programs that apparently are only lightly compressed and delivered at higher bit rates scale well while other HD programs seem to be more highly compressed and delivered at lower bit rates and don't scale as well.
Bear in mind that some older content, e.g. movies from 15+ years ago, are likely already upscaled by Verizon/Frontier from lower resolution sources. Upscaling an already upscaled signal is going to result in poorer results and depend heavily on the TV's CPU and processing algorithms to mitigate the noise and artifacts. The 2016 Vizio has limited in-device processing and therefore doesn't upscale lower resolution content as well as Sony, Samsung or LG 4K devices.
A:AnswerI believe there have been ARC issues on this set but Vizio has released new firmware that should have greatly improved ARC. And to answer your question, yes you can pass Atmos through streaming using ARC as long as the source supports it. The Vudu app on the smartcast remote has many 4K Dolby Vision movies with Dolby Atmos.
A:AnswerI watched cable last night after I got it hooked up. looks great! I watched Football too and no blurring. it has features built in to counter act any blurring but I had them all turned off and it didn't blur. so far I am loving this TV!
A:AnswerIt really depends on the quality and resolution of the material. For native full HD content the upscaling is very very good. For 720p it's good, not great and for 480p/I it's lacking. Basically, as long as it's full HD the picture will look very good to great. If your trying to upscal a low resolution like 480p/I I'd recomend letting the satellite box do the upscaling and compare. It no Sony when it comes to upscaling low resolution content but not many are.
A:Answeryou can down load any voice language settings you want ,via your pc dsl connection or seend it to the tablet remote and download from mail/gmail.
A:AnswerYes, other remotes will still work I.E. a universal remote. (It does come with a remote AND tablet) This TV does only accept very basic commands however like play pause, input, volume, channel, and power. That's about it, other settings and deeper commands must be done with your phone or tablet.
Hope that helps.
