- Answer Dear Ben, many VTech baby monitor models are not expandable. This model RM5764HD does not support adding new camera neither.

QuestionI have two cameras hooked up to my monitor. One of the orange LED lights on one of the cameras blinks all night. The other one doesn’t and turns off like it is supposed to. It didn’t always do this. Is there a reason and how can I stop it. Thanks.

QuestionHow I disconnect the camera from wifi? The monitor is disconnected but the camera is still connected to wifi currently.

- Answer Steve - Here's how you can switch to local mode using the parent unit of the VTech RM5764HD. On the Parent Unit press MENU/SELECT • Press ◄ or ► to highlight the General Settings tab (furthest to the right), then press MENU/SELECT • Press ▲ or ▼ to highlight the “Parent Unit Wi-Fi Connection” option, then press ◄, ►, or MENU/SELECT to toggle the connection • Choose your ‘YES’ on the resulting confirmation screen to toggle between Remote mode and Local mode Hope this helps! -VTech Support

- Answer Kayla - You may reset the VTech RM5764HD to its default setting by going to the Reset Setting under the Menu. After that, you may go to "Configure Wi-fi" to reset the connection of the baby monitor. Thank you! -VTech Support

QuestionMy camera was dropped and now has a black line showing up on my monitor can I purchase another camera without a new monitor or have it repaired?

- Answer Hi - We are sorry to hear with what happened to your VTech RM5764HD. We regret to inform you that your baby monitor is a non-expandable model, hence, there is no option to pair it with a different camera. Kindly do a complete reset on your baby monitor by turning off and unplugging both the parent and baby units fromt he electrical outlet. Wait for 1 minute before you plug and turn back on the units. If the issue will still persist, we can only conclude that the unit is malfunctioning and it has to be replaced. Please be advised that the 1-year manufacturer's warranty does not cover a unit that has been subjected to accident, neglect or any other physical damage. Thank You! -VTech Support

- Answer Anyone with physical access to the device and the monitor and credentials to access a wifi network covering the device can change the smartphone connected to the device. Only one smartphone can connect at a time.

QuestionSo my monitor consistently has its signal cut out and I have removed all wifi devices that are close to the actual camera. Does the monitor need space as well from wifi capable devices so that it doesn't loos signal?

Please make sure that the camera is within Wi-Fi range and that your internet connection is working. Make sure that the camera is powered on, and the LED lights are on. Your router or camera may require a reboot. Unplug your router and camera for approximately 30 seconds and plug back in. Allow a moment for the devices to reconnect and try again. - Answer Hi - The RM5764HD is a non-expandable unit which means you cannot add another camera to it. It has however, a two-camera version which is the RM5764-2HD.
