    • Answer The correct breaker should be 50A, but a 40A breaker could also be used if the EV charge is set to a lower amperage (I.e.: 35A, 30A - depending on the vehicle available settings). The point is that the breaker should not be subject to pass a current around its maximum limit for long periods (as charging an EV will normally take hours and that will surely cause overheating of the breaker). Safety first!

    • Answer Companies often have vendors change the part number slightly, to frustrate price matching policies. The "5" indicates the connected 40A amp version, a "6" would indicate the hardwire ready version. You can hard wire either one (hardwiring is recommended for most cases). The PUP1 is the older model, the PUP2 is newer, but they function similarly for residential use. See the attached part number guide uploaded as an image. A - PUP1 or PUP2 revision B- U indicates 25 ft cable C 1 indicates Type 1 cable D Here a 5 is for 9.6kW, and 6 for 11.5kW E See "O-Hardwire" "N-Plug in" F The only value is 002 for black G 'Revision', in other words packaging for a particular vendor.

The 130,000 square foot high-tech plant will have enough capacity to fully support Wallbox’s expansion plans in North America for the next decade. Production is expected to start as early as June 2022 with production lines for Wallbox’s Pulsar Plus AC chargers; lines for Quasar, its DC bidirectional charger, and Supernova, its DC fast charger for public use, are anticipated to follow in the first half of 2023. Wallbox expects to manufacture a total of 290,000 units annually in this facility by 2027 and reach its full capacity of 500,000 units by 2030.

    • Answer Yes this version works with a NEMA 14-50 and is designed for exterior use. Make sure you know what orientation your outlet is. The 240v "pigtail" on the Wallbox is likely too short to do a U-turn and the box itself is not designed to be weather sealed while upside down from what I can see.
