We had a larger MW before and were very thankful we saved some tiles so we could fill in the space left vacant. Please note if you fill that sMW with a smaller MW there will be exposed space. We got around 6 more inches of space. We used our plain tile ( and not the decorated borders) so it won't bring any attention to the area. I do love this MW as it gives me more space to work at the stove.
