A:AnswerHello Rick! Although the agitator does not come all the way up the middle of the tub as an older model would, the unit does still have what is called a Wash Plate on the bottom of the tub. This Wash Plate brings the clothes towards the middle, pulls them under the water, and them uses a blooming action to push them out and up repeatedly during the cycle ensuring that the clothes are being agitated.
