I run an auxiliary fan off the USB located on the front of the unit.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There is no power port like in the old receivers, where there was an actual 110v outlet that would switch on with the receiver. There is a USB input connector on the front and it's your typical 5v 1 amp. This switches on and off with the receiver. Also, there is a remote jack output on the rear that is 12v but only .1 amps. This is not enough to run a decent size fan like a 72mm case fan. Ideally, utilize a 12v relay that connects a higher amperage external 12 volt wall adapter to power the fan. You can also just purchase fans meant for cooling receivers that have a temp sensor. When it gets above a certain temp, the fan kicks on by itself. No need to get any signals from the receiver (other than a heat signature once it's warming up).
