A:Answer6 OHM speakers will work fine and seem to be the norm these days. When you hook up your speakers in parallel the OHM's drop in half to 3 OHM. However that can vary based on speaker wire length and gauge. Yamaha recommends a min of 4 OHMS. Perhaps call or contact Yamaha and have one of their engineers get a answer for you.

I can tell you I have it attached to 2 Yamaha studio monitors and 2bose bookshelf speakers . It doesn’t seem like I have enough power. Do you have suggestions?

But you could use a none powered one with a spk level input the only why u could use a powered sub is with a line amp which has speaker level inputs and hi impedance out
