• A:Answer Have had this unit for 4 days. It cranks up pretty good with a 5.2 speaker group and two powered subs. It's already received two firmware updates and while these receivers still look dated it's better then most and the remote well isn't the greatest but none of them are. Wish irhe remote had seperate bass/sub/treble adjustments but all and all very happy with the unit. I like bone crushing loud music and this gets it done with sports / movies / whatever.

• A:Answer Yes, though none of the 2.1 features (4K/120, VRR, ALLM, eARC, Dolby Height Virtualization, etc) will be active at this time. Yamaha’s site says these will be activated via firmware update, but there is no specific date for this firmware release.

Q: QuestionJust wondering! I have front speakers, center speaker and surround speakers 8ohm. But my subwoofer and front high dolby atmos speakers are 6ohm. The default settling is 8 ohm, should I switch to 6 ohm or stay with 8 ohm. Thanks!

• A:Answer You can hook up the amp with the front preamp out for the front LR speakers. I'm not sure if you can do the center though. You might be able to use a line level converter (like the ones used to hook a cars factory radio to an amp) hooked to the center channel output then feed that into your amp

Q: QuestionI have a Klipsch system as follows - 1 center speaker, 1 sub woofer, 2 front speaker WITH a dolby atmos surround (so 4 speakers), 2 ceiling surround spekaers and 2 read speakers. So that is a total of 5.1.4. Will this support it?

Q: QuestionMy theater is 6.1 I have a single surround back speaker. I don't see a way to select a single back surround. Is there a way to make it use a single rear surround like my Onkyo did?

• A:Answer I have the same setup. My suggestion is to use surround center middle speaker as a center channel. Having 2 center channels greatly enhances the dialogue. It works well.
