In the wake of the current mass extinction of Earth's animal population, secret activist agencies risk their lives monitoring illegal trafficking of endangered species and use espionage techniques to bring down dealers violating conservation laws. This documentary by Louie Psihoyos (director of dolphin massacre expose The Cove) follows one agency on its maneuvers in China, where environmental protection statues are often flaunted in the open market.~Jennifer Lackman
This was an interesting documentary about the effects of poaching various species of animals throughout the world. My 4 year old son picked it out based on its cover of animals and was extremely disappointed the documentary didn’t show any of the animals. Only the result of poaching for shark fins and what they are used for.
Stunning reports given of ways to communicate to the world the damages we are causing to our ecosystem. It steered clear of extreme propaganda like some economical documentaries and focused on purely educating the viewer about what is going on in all cases and what our impact is. Worth a viewing.
An eye-opening experience. This is an amazing production which really shows the audience how mankind has impacted our planet currently and for future generations. Obviously the video quality is excellent, but that is not the reason for buying this. I believe people should show this to their families and in schools, it really tugs at the heart-strings to see how life has been impacted by man. It left us feeling sad and angry at how we as a species have such disregard for life. The goal of this video was to bring attention to the vanishing species and how we as the greatest contributor to many of these extinctions can try and save those that are most at risk.
