Posted .Hello Alex, the Epson XP-6100 is designed to use only genuine Epson-brand ink cartridges. Other brands of ink cartridges, and ink supplies, are not compatible, and even if described as compatible, may not function properly or at all. Epson provides information about the design of the printer on the box and in many other locations and materials included with the printer and on the website. Such restrictions can be avoided with some other printers such as Epson EcoTank cartridge-free printers. Only downfall is separate color cartridges, instead of black and color, its black, magenta, cyan, and yellow. 70 dollars for all four.

Within a month had the Geek Squad at my house for a service call because it lost internet connection. That cost was as much as the printer. If your not tech savvy have someone come out and set it up and save yourself plenty of aggravation.
