Customers commend the Crayon Digital Pencil for its ease of use, affordable price, and reliable performance, making it a great value for iPad users. Many appreciate its compatibility with various iPad models and find the battery life satisfactory. However, some users find the pencil's shape awkward, and a few note the limited pressure sensitivity. Additionally, a small number of users wish it had a magnetic attachment feature.

i love the color as orange is my favorite color. that said though, tried to like this more then an apple pencil but cant. its not so bad if all you own is a ipad 6th gen. which is all this supports. its stated as such, but its also a reason I don't recommend. being the ipad 6 is new, I cant say for sure if this will work with new models of ipads coming out or not yet.
I can confirm as well that again only works with 6th gen. the tip is the same as the apple pencil but wont work with other ipads that work with the apple pencil.
that said, it does have an on/off button. something the apple pencil does not have. it also does not use Bluetooth so it instantly works on the ipad without needing to sync. so for schools or those using multiple ipad 6th gens, this is great for that. you don't have to sync the pencil each time etc.
the design is more ovalish shaped. I don't find it as comfortable as the apple pencil but not to uncomfortable either.
the tip is not pressure sensitive, so if you are an artist I don't suggest this at all. it adjust line weight and shadowing according to the angle you place it down on the screen. where as the apple pencil is pressure sensitive. if don't care about that and just use for signing things, general writing etc then its fine.
battery life is about 8 hours compared to apple pencil that is 12 hours. and takes a little longer to charge. the apple pencil gives 30 minutes from about 15 seconds of charge where this gives you 30 minutes from 90 seconds of charge.
it uses the ipad cord to charge. where as the apple pencil plugs into the ipad to charge. one reason I like how the apple pencil charges is if you are out and about and don't have the cord, no worries, you just plug in the pencil to ipad, let sit for 15 seconds and you can use it for 30 minutes. where as with the Logitech crayon, you are out of luck.
overall, for the price, I rather pay more, get the pencil that can connect to other ipad devices and not limited to just the ipad 6th gen, and you get a pressure sensitive tip for it.
I also love Logitech and there stuff. if you only have an ipad 6th gen. then its not a bad alternative to the apple pencil if you don't mind the things I stated like no pressure tip. and may or may not work on future ipads. and really nice if you run a class and have ipad 6th gens. as you wont have to worry about what apple pencil goes with what ipad as this will work with any.

This is a stylus, a really nice stylus with some extra features, but essentially just a stylus. It is designed to lay flat, you can adjust line width; how well depends on the app that you are using it with. Battery life is as advertised.
I'd give it 5 stars, but the advertising makes it look cooler than what it really is. It's still you drawing that picture or painting it in, it just makes doing that easier. I'd say it's better used for productivity than creativity (in my case at least) and does make markups easier on documents.
If your old enough to remember having to use a pen to compose and correct you work, then this will make some tasks on the tablet more comfortable.

This is obviously aimed at kids, but if you're looking for an adult alternative to the Apple Pencil, this isn't a bad choice with a few quirks. It supports tilt to vary line thickness, as well as palm rejection so you can rest your hand on the iPad. It doesn't offer pressure sensitivity, so if you're really looking for an artist tool, this won't work. It is very easy to pair.
I didn't have an issue with the flat shape, but some might. I knocked off a star because it only works with the 6th generation iPad and not the iPad Pro, which limits its use.

Fancy stylus
This little guy doesn’t have pressure sensitivity, so heads up. It does have tilt support, which lets you adjust line weight depending on the angle you’re drawing at. Also, palm rejection goes a long way toward how much you’ll like writing on your iPad. With a wireless connection of up to 7 hours, you can do a lot so go for it.

Okay, so at first I was skeptical. However after realizing how much easier it makes things to write, especially for me, a left hander, this thing is great. I am able to make quick sketches with measurements when working on construction projects, and I'm able to do quick corrections on photos due to the pin point accuracy of the pencil it makes things so much better and efficient.

This product worked great, until 1 year later. I purchased this for Christmas 2020, and it worked great. My kids used it on their tablets for school work during remote learning, and it was a much better alternative than using their finger for writing, drawing, etc. However 1 year later (just after the warranty period), it no longer works. The firmware is up to date, the crayon is charged, however it turns off almost immediately after powering on, and it does not work on the iPad. I worked with logitech's tech support, and they concluded that it's a hardware issue. But since it's been 1 year, I'm SOL

I was very impressed from turning on the pencil to the connecting to my iPad instantly. I end up plugging my Apple pencil into my iPad when I want to connect it usually. The iPad recognized the pencil immediately. Again very impressed. The responsiveness and the functionality again surprised me. Definitely would recommend this to everyone. Make sure you have the iPad 6th generation. Will not with with other versions not iPad pros

It works very similar to the Apple Pencil. However the grip can be a little weird and I don’t like the fact it does not attach like the Apple Pencil with the magnetic so if you have the apple keyboard case it is hard to keep up with.

Great stylus

I've used apple pencil 1 and it was slippery to hold (my hand is small), and the cap got lost all the time. This stylus is perfect for my hand. However, I'd say battery life can only be conserved if you remember to turn it off after you are done. Otherwise, it gets drained really quickly.

The pen itself is easy to charge with your iPhone cable. Metal body and rubber top end that keeps it from sliding. The body is shaped like a carpenters pencil so it doesn't roll away but that's biggest problem. The Carpenters pencil is for crude lines in woodcutting, not penmanship or extended writing. This pencil is very awkward in the hand and frustrating. For me trying to write neatly with it makes me feel like a child relearning to write because it's so awkward in the hand. You have to rotate it to get it into a position that doesn't twist while writing with the standard three fingertip hold. So good build quality, bad ergonomics. I'll be looking for a different pen for note-taking even if that means buying the overpriced Apple Pencil.

OK for Kids, Not for Serious Artists Applications

Got a new iPad and needed a "pencil". Tried this out and was not pleased. While it connected easily to my iPad, it didn't have the pressure sensitivity I was looking for. Ended up returning it and grabbing a 1st Gen Apple Pencil, instead. Would probably be a good solution for a kid.

Hi Mary, Very sorry to hear about the discomfort you're experiencing with the Crayon Digital Pencil. The unique design of Logitech Crayon isn’t just for show—it’s built for durability. The flat shape stays exactly where you leave it and prevents it from rolling off desks or getting lost underneath shelves. Hopefully you're able to adjust and be able to enjoy the inherent benefits. Thank you for choosing Logitech. - Richard from Logitech
