Faulty thermostat

Called HVAC specialist and he knew exactly that the Amazon thermostat was the problem. Replaced it with original thermostat and there was no problem.

I am sorry to hear your thermostat is not staying connected to WiFi. If your Amazon Smart Thermostat isn't connecting to Wi-Fi, try restarting your router and the thermostat itself. Also, ensure you're using a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, as the thermostat is not compatible with 5 GHz. Also, the thermostat turns on auto by itself in the morning and evening all of the sudden. It says there’s no schedule set, nor have I ever set a schedule for the thermostat. Super annoying

The temp settings i pick always get ignored. In the winter time it was try to cool my home to 63 degrees which is just inefficient and foolish. Its always doing an “auto” even when I manually set a temp schedule and completely throwing temps out of wack and its causing issue with our AC unit as well. Not to mention how slow the Alexa interface is at times. Im going back to a regular thermostat after this.

Posted .Hi Token2k8, I'm very sorry to hear of the experience you have had with the Amazon Smart Thermostat so far. Most common issues can be resolved by restarting the thermostat. Gently detach the device faceplate from the wall plate, wait a few seconds, and then reattach it.
If restarting your thermostat doesn't resolve the problem, you can reset the device to its original factory settings. A factory reset erases all data on the thermostat, including HVAC configuration and device settings.
On the Smart Thermostat, press the Up Temperature, Down Temperature, and Mode buttons together for 10 seconds, until rEs appears on the display.
Press and hold the Mode button for 5 seconds, until the device resets.
If these steps do not help, and you are still having functionality issues you can call Amazon customer service, available 24/7 for assistance on the device. You can reach them at 1-888-280-4331. I hope this information is helpful, thank you!

Millivolt thermostat, does not work with all AC.
