I purchased the ring camera from best buy. I really enjoy this product. The installation and set up was easy that a five year old can install. The quality when viewing the camera on your phone is good. I loved this product so until I am going to puchase more for other rooms.

Yes, you're right. We got this mostly to keep an eye on our fur kids aka dogs when we're out. It's pretty tiny but it works well. We set it up on top of a counter that views the room where the pooches are normally roaming or lounging. It is cool that we can record or have motion sensors and get recorded to the cloud with our Ring door bell and Ring Camera's we have as we subscribed to the service. For now we're not recording in the house so I don't get caught eating wife's icecream.
