I suggest you buy the body and invest in a Sigma or Tamron lens. The point and shopt feature will ha e you taking high quality pics out of the box. Running hot is rumor is true, but I only encountered it while setting up presets which took me some time since i wasnt familiar with Sony ecosystem.

I stressed about this purchase, it's pretty expensive, now I wish I would have purchased it sooner... :) Great pictures, very good video quality and I have used it almost every day since I received it. Really enjoy learning how to use it. Plus it has a totally automatic mode which works pretty darn good.

Can’t take the heat & average stabiliztion

Camera is nice and ligjt but heats up way to quickly. 4k at 24fps yiu get 25 minutes. In an air conditioned car in sunlight it lasts only a few minutes. Disappointed. I returning the camera and taking thr 15% restocking fee.

Great Sony Camera

The autofocus on the A6700 is much better, the IBIS is so nice, the new menu system Sony has is great. There are many more areas that it is superior to the A6100. I absolutely love this camera.

The menu has been improved, the build quality is superb, the ergonomics are mostly great, and the sensor has terrific IQ. The improved subject recognition makes bird photography a breeze. I added the Sigma 18-50 for a lightweight landscape/travel combination.

Great choice on a budget

I upgraded from the a6500 and man is this an upgrade. The sensor is so much better and focusing on what you want. I normally take picture of my kid playing soccer. All I can say is if your on a budget and need a good camera to take sports picture and video this is your camera.

Pretty Great Camera

Really enjoying it so far! I am testing out all of my different Sony lenses, and they are all great. I find that a nifty fifty prime lens is my favorite setup right now for taking photos of my kiddos. I am also running a ZVe1, so I can capture full-frame video and use this a6700 as a photo focused cam.
