This laptop is an absolute powerhouse. The build quality is fantastic and better than some more expensive laptops I have seen. The fans are a bit loud at high speeds but they don't often reach high speeds because the cooling system is extremely efficient, even during heavy gaming sessions. The i9-13950HX CPU paired with the RTX 4080 GPU ensures that this beast will be future proof for years to come, especially if you throw in another 16GB of RAM.
The FHD+ screen is good for what it is, but I think this machine really shines while hooked up to a higher resolution monitor and used as a desktop replacement.
I've had this laptop for over 8 months now and used it daily for everything from gaming to web surfing to video editing and it's performed great.

The laptop is heavier than I expected and the fans are noisy. Aside from that, this is a good laptop.

I have a ROG Scar 18 with the 4090 and I bought this little guy for my son lol. The performance difference between the 13980 / 4090 that my Scar has and this 13950 / 4080 are almost unnoticeable in games.
What is noticeable you ask? The price. My Scar cost $4200 and I got this for my sons birthday on sale for $1900...
After playing on his laptop a bit I believe I made a mistake with my Scar lol.

Went on sale. Got it for 1799. Awesome deal for a super power full laptop.
Fans are loud but to be expected with the 13900 and 4080.
