Customers praise the ROG Zephyrus G14's performance, stunning OLED display, and excellent battery life. Many appreciate its premium build quality, impressive speakers, and lightweight, portable design. This pc was screen glitching and failed right on start up. Store rep had to escort me upfront just to get geek squad to assist with removing my information. I do not recommend this product unless you have no other choice and then a 200.00 pc from Wal-Mart is looking like a better option that or gaming chrome book.

Dear Dstu,
Thank you for your comment.
We do understand your disappointment and the inconvenience this may have caused. If the laptop will not boot up or it's just black screen but the fan, please do the following. Please try to do a power cycle by pressing and holding down the power button to shut it down completely, then power on. If it powers on but still a black screen after a few minutes, at least 10 minutes, please repeat the power cycle process again. If the laptop is applying updates in the System Registry, it will black screen temporarily until the update is applied successfully. Additionally, please try to disconnect the power cable and let the unit drain for 24 hours to clear the memory. This will reset the hardware to default settings. After doing this, please reconnect your AC adapter, do not power on the laptop until the battery is charged. If you need further assistance, please email me at [email protected] and I will be more than happy to help. Or you are most welcome to call Product Support Hotline at: 1(888) 678-3688. Also, you can chat with an ASUS live support agent from the link: https://www.asus.com/us/support/article/1135/.

Beuatiful display and performance

The first thing that I have to say is...WOW! I love the OLED display on the ASUS - ROG Zephyrus G14! The colors and picture looks so much more fluid and makes for a more incredible gaming experience. With 1tb of memory, that is ample space to save a few games and files on this gaming laptop. Although, I will be upgrading to a larger SSD for even more space.
That gets me to my next point. I really wish that they made upgrading the memory on these new computers easier. What happened to the good ol' days when you popped a cover off of the bottom, insert the new memory stick, and off you went? Now you have to remove the entire bottom panel to make the upgrade. It's not a difficult thing to do, but simplicity is always welcomed haha.
The ASUS - ROG Zephyrus G14 is my first computer of anykind with a Ryzen chip, and I must say it has performed flawlessly. Coupled with the NVIDIA RTX 4060 graphics card, the performance is great during gameplay. With my old gaming laptop, I was struggling with lots of lag during heavy game play.
The ASUS - ROG Zephyrus G14 has multiple display ports, micro sd slot, USB, and USB-c ports. For a gaming laptop, the Zephyrus G14 is really light and easy to carry with you. This may also be why they decided to go with a smaller screen, as opposed to other gaming laptops with larger displays.
Overall, I really love the ASUS - ROG Zephyrus G14 laptop. The display and performance is incredible.
I would highly recommend it to anyone.

I'm definitely not the target audience for the Asus's gamer styling, but the G14 is a sleek, almost understated device.
Design/Build:
The pictures for the device make it seem as though its white, but its actually a subtle silver tone. The all aluminum build and makes it feel like a premium production laptop. While not on the level of fit and finish as the of a Surface Laptop or Macbook... its pretty close.
Where is appears to fall a little short is in the build quality itself. The lid has a bit of flex to it without really trying to create it and they illuminated keyboard is hit or miss.
It seems like not enough or cheaper LED's were used in the lighting of the keyboard. Even in a dark room some of the keys are dimmer and some of the function keys can barely be seen.
Keyboard/Trackpad:
After a little adjustment to the key size I quickly grew to enjoy typing on the G14. While not necessarily clicky, they aren't spongy like some gaming laptops I've seen.
The keys seem larger than most keys, thus making fot tighter spacing and the large ROG gamer font make them seem cartoony.
But overall the user experience is pretty great with some adjustment likely.
Touchpad is a glass diving board style and lacks the higher end haptic pad foind on other premium laptops. It has excellent palm rejection and gestuere work as intended.
Performance:
Simply put this thing flies for all my task, which involves writing in Docs, research using a dozen tabs open, while streaming music without breaking a sweat.
I tried a little gaming on using some of the Nvidia GPU special features I was able to play Cyberpunk at a decent framerate with RT. frame generation. Coming from console this was very inpressive.
Display:
What can I say, its an OLED. If you know, with a lightning quick pixel response time, specially tuned by Samsung to offer blistering speeds and VRR/G-sync.
Whether its watching Youtube videos, playing games like Dead space, The Callisto Protocol where black levels can add to rhe immersion.
Software/Bloat: It really seems like with these Windows Gaming laptops its constant bloat, whether it be armory crate or a hal dozen security software adds, it feels like your being inundated with junk at all times.
If Asus fixed the QA and refine certain design elements it could be perfect

Right off the bat, once you unbox the unit it will take you about 5 hours before you're up and running. This is due to a suggested 3 hour battery charge, Windows updates, and ASUS updates (including BIOS). I no longer bother even trying to use a new computer without doing that nowadays. once those are done, you should be sitting pretty with a quick booting, very quiet laptop.
Laptop specific items to mention:
-Unit is pretty thin, and doesn't weight very much
-Standard ports you would expect to have, including a headphone jack
-You'll get about 7 feet of power cord, including the brick that weighs about as much as the laptop itself (this may be important based on battery life)
-Keyboard is nice and tactile, the only potential issue there is if you do make use of the arrow keys, those are pretty small
-Display is everything you could ask for except for the size, but if you're dealing with a desk space issue you should not have one here
-Touchpad works as expected; no issues there
Gaming specific items
-Ran Diablo 4 with max settings
--Display had absolutely no issues, no tearing etc
--Sound is serviceable
--Unit did run a little on the warm side after awhile, some of which you could feel through the keyboard however
--The unit never sounded like a rocket engine like some other gaming laptops I've used, which really took away from the overall experience
--Asus has provided a very minimal Asus specific software running in the background, and I never had to worry about shutting it down due to impact on gaming
--Maybe got an hour out of the battery while playing Diablo 4. Posts online indicate the possibility of D4 being a battery hog, but I don't see how it could be *that* bad. However, if you're gaming on any laptop, you're probably going to do so plugged in anyway so...
--No ethernet port, so hopefully your wireless connection is adequate
Customization
-I didn't dig through this very much, but there are options to customize the laptop LED key colors, as well as the 'slash' on the top of the laptop. I guess I'm old school in that I don't feel the need to tweak all of that beyond just the basics, but for those who do, have at it! I will admit I found the 'slash' light bar on top to be pretty cool.
The unit came in a pretty green friendly series of recyclable cardboard boxes.

I think this is a solid gaming laptop. I should allow you to play most games with medium settings and not have any lag. The screen is thoroughly fun to use for both playing games and when doing medium productivity tasks. It is plenty powerful for most productivity tasks but has limitations in both screen size and memory size. You will be fine for most things but probably not for video editing or high end spreadsheets but gaming is great. Bang for your buck, the screen size is great for most teenagers or advanced young gamers who need a laptop. It has a great assortment of external ports and the video out is great. I have not tried three screens but this thing should handle most 2 screen setups with ease using a thunderbolt or usb to display adapter. It is nice that it comes with 1TB of space, that keeps the system more mobile but with the size of steam games these days you will likely want to upgrade your internal nvme drive at some point or get a fast usb 3.2 connected drive. The only real gripe I have with this is the memory is not upgradeable. That means you will only be able to enjoy it likely for a few years before needing to get a new but considering the good base price then that helps with the price challenge. I really like the key lighting but it did take some playing with the settings to get it to something I liked. I think the light stripe on the lid is an interesting compromise with the RGB gaming aesthetic. I would say it may not be a good choice as a primary system but if you needed a system to use on the go then this is a good choice for any gamer on the go or mobile student.

I am a PC Gamer and pride myself on recognizing solid machines and devices that can make things seamless and easy for playing the top games. I unboxed this PC and have never owned any Asus products however I know their reputation for budget friendly computers that pack a punch. This PC comes in a nice white with an outside sort of lightning bolt on the cover that lights up a bit. The outside shell of the PC felt a bit light, sort of an aluminum housing which is what you’d expect from Asus in my opinion. The PC is small 14 inch and looks like it wouldn’t do much at all however once booted up, this machine appears to blow away a lot of the larger machines I’ve used. Not only are the graphics phenomenal, the screen is a serious 3K popping with vibrant colors and PC games such as playing Call of Duty were seamless in play. It has Windows 11 as well which is nice since you have the best of both worlds being able to exit out of the game to check emails etc. The keyboard is a color changing nice add which really makes this a nice little device and one I’d recommend.

Build quality is superb, with a little tuning effort and switching from armory crate to g-helper you can have your cake and eat it too with great battery life on the go and good gaming performance while plugged in. It really is a good do it all laptop. MSRP is pretty spicy but if you catch it on sale, it's a great option if not the best.
Protip its almost exactly the dimensions of a macbook pro 14 so if you want some better case options search for MBP cases.

The Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 is a showstopper. From the very beginning it will have you saying "wow". Starting with the packaging, a sleek yet stylish black box that is form fitted to the computer lets you know that what you are opening is classy and sophisticated. Its like the little black dress of packaging! I have never made an unboxing video, but if I was going to, this would be the product to start with. Everything about opening this computer was so satisfying!
Alright...enough about the packaging....on to the computer itself...
Yep. Just as amazing. The laptop itself is a little smaller than I am used to with the 14" screen, but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in performance. The OLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate really likes to show off when watching videos, gaming, or even as I write this review! It is not touch screen, but its really best to keep your sticky fingers off the beautiful display anyway.
The style goes beyond the screen. This laptop is listed as Platinum White, but it is definitely more Platinum than White, which I almost appreciate more. White looks very slick, but I have a feeling that it would dirty quick. Also, on the screen lid, a lighted strip can be found that would make those fruit branded computers jealous!
The computer itself feels VERY solid. The keys are definitive and smooth. They dont give you that gaming "clicky" feel, but they are a welcome change from that typewriter sound and feel. Inputs are also solid and adequate for an average user, including 4-USB Ports (USB-A, USB-C), and HDMI Out and Thunder Out.
When it comes to gaming...my games of choice as of late have been Mon Bazou and BeamNG, which can be found on Steam. Mon Bazou doesn't really test the capabilities of this laptop, but BeamNG on the other hand definitely puts the 16gb of LPDDR5X to the test and makes the NVIDIA 4060 Graphics Card work. BeamNG is a fairly demanding game when you dive in to modifications, adding NPC traffic, and upping the graphics. In very busy scenes I have seen my FPS from below 20 briefly, however recover well and pull 70-80fps regularly.
Ultimately, this Asus Zephyrus laptop has been a great laptop for gaming and productivity on the go. Its size makes it ultra portable and allows for a surprising battery life. Its hardware lets you accomplish what you want, when you want. Are there down sides? Sure. I wish the screen was a little larger and I wish I opted for the version with more RAM. Regardless, this laptop hits way about its weight class for the price and you will not be disappointed with either version.
