I really really really loved this laptop. Best size to power ratio i have ever had. Only flaw is that according to asus tech support it will not support an egpu. Says it has a usb4 40Gbps port wich should work with core x. Nope. I even tried a ADT-UT3G usb4 to pcie adaptor and nothing. Did a chat with asus (which is almost impossible if you buy from best buy as they kick you out of chat when seriel number gets input). This is actually second flaw. But they said the unit does not support an eGPU. Wished it did. Made me return it but would buy it tomorrow if it would work. Or someone could help me.

Everything about this device is excellent and pristine, aside from the battery life. I was expecting several hours for non-intensive use, but it goes from 100 to zero in about two hours without any intense usage (right out of the box). I don't understand how an "open box-excellent" laptop could have such a weak battery already.

I think that this laptop is great. The few weeks I had it - it did a great job at editing videos. However, I had a horrible experience with the information given at the time of purchase with the rewards. In the end I had to return it. I am pretty disappointed.

Decent gaming laptop for the price. If you want max performance you will have to set it on spot that has good air flow. This laptop will heat up really quickly depending on the game.

Pros: Beautiful 120hz VRR Nvidia G-Sync OLED display with a resolution of 2880x1800. Colors pop off the screen, and deep, inky blacks create an immersive gaming experience. Another benefit of OLED is the fast response times, perfect for eSports titles. It’s plenty bright, with up to 600 nits for HDR content. It is a glossy display, so outdoor visibility is okay, but it could be better. Because of its smoothness, it is a perfect display for media consumption and gaming. -Excellent Build Quality for the most part It's almost as good as a MacBook. The only caveat is that the right hinge makes a clicking noise at certain angles. I’ve reached out to Asus about this. If needed, I will update my review with additional information. Everything else about it looks and feels fantastic. I’m impressed with the build quality of the G14. -Impressive speakers. So far, they are the best-sounding speakers I’ve heard on a Windows laptop. They are loud and clear, similar to Macbook quality. -Stronger RTX4070 compared to similar price 14inch gaming laptop 90w GPU compared to 80w from the Omen Transcend 14. Blade 14 comes in at 115w, but you will pay close to 74% more for that extra power. Value wise, not bueno. -32GB of fast LPDDR5x 6400 soldered RAM. One of the main benefits of soldered RAM is way faster. -Excellent Keyboard and trackpad. The typing experience is pretty good. I was able to type fast with minimal errors. The keys have a decent amount of depth and feedback. The trackpad surface is smooth and quite generous for its size. -Plenty of I/O ports, such as x2 full-size USB A ports and x2 USB Type C ports. Both can display to a monitor, but only the left port can charge the laptop via a 100w USB C charger. There’s also a micro SD card reader and a full-size 2.1 HDMI port. -It is very light for a gaming laptop, weighing around 3.3lbs. -1080p front-facing IR camera with support for Windows Hello facial recognition. -During intense gaming sessions, three fans and liquid metal keep the CPU and GPU as cool as possible. -Impressive battery life for a gaming laptop. For regular tasks like web browsing and video watching, I could almost get 10 hours. Of course, this requires utilizing the silent profile and setting the refresh rate to 60hz. Cons: -Runs warmer -Lower TGP for the GPUs. 90w vs 125w. -Uneven keyboard backlit. It's hard to see the secondary keys. -Only the SSD and Wi-Fi card can be upgraded. -Minor QC issues like the right hinge making clicking noises at certain angles. -Asus Armoury Crate can be buggy sometimes. Consider using G-Helper, a slimmer version of Armoury Crate. -The screen does wobble. Games Tested with Turbo Profile: Star War Jedi Survivor: Internal resolution, medium-high settings, and DLSS quality with frame generation averaging around 50+ fps. Star Wars Jedi Survivor is one of those games that looks amazing with this OLED screen. Because of how good this game looks, I’m willing to sacrifice some fps for quality. Forza Motorsport: Internal resolution at high settings with DLSS set to quality settings averaging around 60+ fps. A good balance of performance and quality. Unless it’s eSports titles, I tend to go for a good balance of performance and quality settings to achieve a stable 60fps. So far, it’s been stable. Overall, for 2024, Asus gave the G14 a redesigned style, making it even slimmer than last year's model. We also get an entire aluminum body that looks and feels fantastic. Not only is the Animatrix gone, but also the option to pair it up with an RTX4080 or 4090, including the availability to upgrade the RAM. If max performance is what you’re looking for, the 2023 version would be a better option. The 2024 G14 is more portable and would have ended up struggling to cool a 4080/4090 adequately. The AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS processor performs very similar to last year's version, with the only improvements being improved AI performance. In my opinion, the trade-offs you get for a slimmer package are pretty good. It’s an excellent laptop for those who still want a powerful 14-inch laptop that can game and be productive with a strong battery life.

Great gaming laptop. Performance is great, once I optimized the games through the Nvidia app it was amazing! Oled is amazing!
