Unfortunately I'm logged into my BestBuy account to figure out what year the model is so that I can try to uninstall and reinstall the display driver because my display isn't turning on, but it's a pretty solid laptop outside of that. Still receives Armoury Crate updates and all that.

I purchased during the sale when it was $250 off 2 weeks ago. However, this laptop is plagued with severe quality control issues which seem to fail to be mentioned in the reviews. I have gone though 3 units. The first one I received, the trackpad was severely loose, it rattled really bad and you could physical move it when being pressed against on the edges with each hand. The second one I received had the same issue, trackpad rattled really bad and could be physically moved with little force. The 3rd unit I received the trackpad was perfect, felt exactly like the one you could test in stores on the 16gb version, however, the plastic bezel around the top of the screen stores that layers around the actual panel itself was either warped or bent, it was something that I could notice every time I looked at the screen. I didnt even power the laptop up for the first time before noticing it. Due to this reason I ended up returning my 3rd unit and decided to cut my ties with trying to obtain a good quality version of this laptop, which is very upsetting. I have a video showing the rattle and looseness in the trackpad however, Best Buy only allows for picture uploads. For these reason I don’t not recommend this laptop until asus sorts out their QC issues.

Sleek design, awful media key layout

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I believe the Asus Laptop is one of the best in terms of how it looks, but the main issue it has are the custom function/ macro keys at the top of the keyboard. The function key layout is the same other standard laptops, but the secondary media functions are extremely different. For example, this laptop does not come with a normal print screen button and the substitute interferes with apps that rely on that button like ShareX. TIP: I recommend uninstalling the Armoury crate package and installing G-Helper for a lackluster fix.
