This gets very bright but also very cinematic when it needs to be. Only grudge you could say is the biggest size it comes in is 65”, but if thats the size you’re looking for then this is the model for you. Ive considered other great options but the processing and color accuracy sony puts towards their tvs outperforms the competition. 10/10

Always read that about OLED but you don't know how sweet that is until you have it. Onboard sound is very good too. I have speakers but don't want to bother. Good service from best buy too. No matter the setting, our previous tv struggled to combat the glare and really lacked contrast which we were never really able to combat even when taking measure to darken the room. This tv has incredible high contrast, deep deep blacks, and vibrant colors. Those previous issues are totally solved with the purchase of this tv.

Great viewing angle and brightness

I upgraded from a 2012 Sony Bravia and my mind is blown. The picture quality was as good as expected but I am truly impressed by the brightness and the viewing angle. I don’t feel like I even need to swivel the televison anymore, no matter where I am in the the room, the picture is fantastic. Highly recommend.

The Sonys have better motion handling than Samsung and support dolby vision. I would have knocked it down a star for how expensive it is when you can buy another brand's 2024 model for a third of the price... but the current pricing is in line with the top tvs of the other manufacturers. Personally, I think the 65 inch should be more like $2300, though. The Sony oddly does not have nearly as high of a max brightness as the other brands, but it outdoes them in clarity and crispness of the picture, which I care more about. Most people will still want a sound bar of speaker system, but the onboard audio on the 65 inch is probably the best onboard audio of any current tvs on the market. The one thing I wish they had done better at is the out of the box calibration. Some professional review sites showed it not having very great out of the box calibrations like some monitors have been having.

Great Picture and Poor Firmware stability.

I often need to reset the TV (once a week), because the ATSC 3.0 channels won't show the picture or the over-the-air TV guide is stuck on a date and won't advance to the current time/day. I had a Panasonic 55" plasma from 2008 and it rocked until the end in 2026. Yes I am disappointed because I payed $2700 for this TV and I expect perfection at this price. Sony fix the firmware for over-the-air TV.

I been own previously Sony products, like Trinitron TV ( still have it and woking great) Bravia TV's, even projection TV, also video cassette,DVD Player's and more you name it, some are still working great.This Bravia 8 II we just get is awseome TV, the picture and soun d are very clear, souund is very clear even with out soundbar. its like a picture frame on my wall. Our Sony TV Beats the Movie Theater

It has been so refreshing to be able to stream a huge variety of shows/movies without difficulty. It is so nice to see detail and color as it should be. The salesman at Best Buy was not pushy; he in fact showed us a large variety of TVs ; from the lower cost less known brands which we requested when we first came in, to a higher priced Sony. After a couple of hours; we decided that at our age (early 80s); we deserved to be able to watch clarity, good color, etc. since we do not go out that much and haven't been to a movie theater since pre-Covid. I am so thankful that the wonderful young salesman had the patience to deal with older customers and on a recent visit to Best Buy; we let them know.

It is the latest model and replaced an older Sony that would no longer connect to WiFi. The pictures brilliant and the menu is easy to navigate, so setting it up is easy. I’m so glad I made the switch. This TV has been a completely different experience. The menu is fast and responsive, the upscaling is excellent, and streaming (including sports) looks dramatically better. Everything just works the way a flagship TV should. Overall, it feels like a much more polished product. Very happy with this TV and highly recommend it.
