I needed a new computer and went to Best Buy and found one I love. I am not computer savvy and so having Geek Squad 24 hour round the clock phone help was something I found very useful. I was very comfortable with a phone rep who spent a lot of time with me and I never felt rushed. They gave me all the help they could over the phone and my problem was figured out.

I have been very happy with my Geek Squad support. I know I can make an appointment and take my laptop in to Best Buy and get great help from knowledgeable "geeks". I can also call from home for help, or "chat" online (my favorite) and let the person I am chatting with take control of my laptop to completely fix the problem I am having. Now that is service!

I use my laptop for work and accidentally got a virus from tapping onto the wrong thing (touch screen). My laptop locked up, I took it in to the store and said that they need to keep it, but when I explained the inconvenience, the tech cleaned up the freezing enough for the remote service Geek squad offers to finish it up later that day. Convenient, no hassle.

You are crazy if you do not get the Geek Squad Protect and Support Plus. I bought three years of coverage with the first two laptops I bought from Best Buy and both ended up getting replaced after a liquid spilled on the unit. Each was replaced promptly the coverage is well worth the piece of mind. And Geek Squad support is the best. Very helpful and knowledgeable.

This was a great service to buy! It gives me access to Geek Squad agents online, over the phone, and in store. You can get help with a problem, with maintenance, or even get answers to a question. The agents are extremely professional, very courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful! All of that, plus great protection for your computer. :)
I would recommend this to a friend!

My sons new ASUS laptop is nice and he loves the options on it, but I was so glad we purchased the protection plan! After 10 months of little use, the hard drive went out. Fortunately, with the plan, the hard drive was replaced with a quick turn around. Not sure about the quality of the ASUS laptop, but I know I'll continue to renew the plan each year!

I wasn't sure why I was buying a service contract. I really didn't think I would need it. Wow!!! I am so glad that I did take advantage of this offer. Within three days of buying this service I brought my laptop into the Geek Squad and they patiently explained what was happening. They made everything so easy and didn't make me feel like a complete idiot.

The Geek Squad service is an excellent purchase. I highly recommend that people purchase this. I have made a trips to seethe Geek Squad in Wheeling, West Virginia, Miramar Beach, Florida and Tallahassee, Florida. There was nothing wrong with the computer, I just needed guidance. All 3 locations had employees who were knowledgeable and helpful and patient.

The Geek Squad protection plans have served me well in the past. The only complaint I have ever had about GS warranties was many years ago on a plasma tv that had some burn in issues. As sold/described to me the warranty covered just that and "especially on plasmas" - long story short, it didn't. anyway, this review is not about the one bad exp. I had a long time ago. for the most part GS warranties are a worthwhile investment.

With all my electronic purchases, I always bought geek protection. About a year after we bought my daughters laptop the hinges broke and cracked the body. Took it in, they sent out to be assesed and 2 to 4 days later got the works it was to damaged. They gave us an in-store voucher for the cost of the laptop and purchased a new one right then and there.

I purchased the Geek Squad service plan for a new laptop that was given to my in-laws. They tell me that it was a great experience and they were very happy with the at home service as well as the time that was taken to provide an overview of the machine in general. They validated that features were all in order and working properly prior to leaving.

I have used Geek Squad protection a fair amount for things large and small. They are able to help and have even let me watch. I now know how to do certain tasks for small fixes on my computers.With the passing of my three years old Blu Ray player, I was given an extra discount because of protection coverage and able to buy a display model quickly.

I am always wary of buying warranty plans. Usually I don't bother, with the prices of electronics, its easier to just buy new. But with a $1500 dollar laptop, I decided go ahead. If anything happens within 3 years, I am covered. I paid up for a higher grade laptop, so that it would last a while. With the protection plan, it will make sure it does.

I have learned my lesson many years ago to never go without the extended accidental coverage warranty on computer products over $400, especially laptops. You never know when you might spill a drink on it, or it might just decide to overheat. This protection plan is money well spent!

Geek squad support came in handy twice with the laptop I purchased. There was a software update glitch messing up the operation. It would have taken me forever to run it down through the company. Geek squad knew what it was, what was going on and how to fix it because they had been dealing with the problem for other customers.

when i got my laptop i knew that having a warranty would be good insurance due to the fact that i have two kids , and i was right , they dropped my laptop twice .
I could have paid for another laptop for the repair cost was.
So if you are on the fence , GET IT . The peace of mind it gives you is worth it .

I will never buy a product without a protection plan and support especially for something like this mini laptop for someone who does not know much about computers that are small and are completely different than your big computer. You always want to have protection if an accident should happen and you have to have it replaced or fixed from a hacker or something like that. That is what those plans are for.

I have not had to use this warranty on this particular device, but I have friends and family that have used the warranty. For how complex devices are becoming today, it is good and cheap insurance to have. For example, a screen repair on a Microsoft Surface Pro 3 will run you around $480. The warranty itself is well worth it in that case.

There seemed to be less costly options when buying a chromebook & extended warranty, but I have previously had a positive experience with BestBuy's extended warranty so I paid the price. I suspect that a broken screen or some other event is likely to happen to this device over the next 3 years so although it was costly, I'm hopefully I have provided myself with some reasonable repair/replacement insurance

I have been so pleased with previous experiences with the Geek Squad that I had no questions about getting coverage for my new computer. I am not computer savvy, so whenever I have a question, I immediately contact the Geek Squad.. Most often my questions are resolved within an hour or two. I'll never be without Geek Squad service.
