I've contacted Acer support and we've done a factory reset, hardware reset, and I had held out for an OS update (went from version 130 to 132) but still nothing seems to fix it. Now I'm out of my return window and Acer suggests I send it to them to fix it. Brand new laptop and it needs to be sent in for fixing. Terrible..

We’re sorry to hear that your Acer Chromebook is restarting during use, and we understand how frustrating this can be. Google has released an update to address unexpected restarts in ChromeOS. The updated version, ChromeOS R137, is currently available on the Beta channel. This update is planned for release to the Stable channel in early June 2025. Once it's available, your Chromebook will automatically update to ChromeOS R137.

Good but weird

Also, keys are a bit hollow and mushy and the body is as well. The trackpad is a pretty stiff diving board design. Glossy screen no like. But functionally it's outstanding.

For the price point, even within the Chromebook Plus line, it isnt as solid feeling as I would prefer. Beyond that, 2 weeks of working on the device has been smooth

Coming from Mac computers and iPhones the change has been easy to figure out how to use it. I have been enjoying finding new apps to accomplish the things I would use the Mac for. I love that I can access network drives for my files. This is a very capable device.
