    Review for the gamers

First gaming laptop ever and i love it! My 10 year old laptop crashed and i was using it to learn to code and needed a replacement. This one has all the specs and speed i wanted plus i can game on it! As far as speed and performance goes it boots up from off to on im seconds and opens apps and web pages faster than ive ever been used to. For the gamers out there i know this is what you are interested in as far as reviews on gaming laptops. Im not the biggest gamer and only play a few in all honesty. Going from the ps4 to this is night and day! Rainbow six seige on this machine is a total game changer! Im getting an average of 230fps on seige on ultra settings and it handles it! I did the benchmark test after hitting "auto detect" in graphics settings and it hit 107% ov vram used meaning it will borrow from the regularly ram of the computer since i taxed my graphics card out. And it plays just fine with no hiccups! I just added the crucial 32gb of ram and its just the same as when i had the stock 16gb of ram. Im murfin em on rb6 real talk at the 230fps ultra settings! As far as the 32 gb upgrade goes i followed a youtube video and it was a pice of cake! I never made a computer i just code and this was my forst time opening one up and it was really simple. This computer has the "nitro sence" button which opens the settings for the fans and power and when gaming i just hot max on the fans. You can in the nitre sence window click nvida and then go in and if you opt for it and click accept the disclamer nvida will auto overclock your graphics card for you so no need to download msi overclock. Yes its a conservative tune but its tuned by THE MAKERS OF THE CARD!! I feel its a safer option for those who want to overclock their graphics card. I got it on sale at the $899 price and couldn't be happier! The pic I posted is the rb6 results after the games benchmark test, at the stock 16gb of ram. I dont know the battery life as I've only used it plugged in.

    Very Useful Laptop

This is my second Acer Nitro 5 Laptop. Back in 2017, I have a 2017 Nitro 5 with i5 Non-Hyperthread and 1050 Ti as my first one, which stopped working from an unintended motherboard short circuit, after nearly 4 years of good use. Now, a faster i7 and 3050 Ti laptop is better, which I was patient as I succeeded to get this with a $200 savings deal. While the battery is the only downside which I’m okay to follow, the specs and the look of this was great for me. This includes upgradable access like RAM and storage, plus the 2.5” HDD kit. Even if I game, I still do general activities like home and office work. This is my useful experience of gaming notebooks, including the budget as I came for.

Best Bang for Buck Gaming Laptop

I researched a ton of laptops that were for gaming but knew I didn't need something on par with a 3080-3090 type GPU inside so I picked this Acer and very impressed. The laptop holds a speedy i7 CPU coupled with 16 GB of RAM and a 3050 TI GPU w/512 SSD which at this price point is great. The laptop essentially is cheaper on par with anything you could buy in a desktop with comparable components. This is not your avg desktop either as $900-1000 for this depending on sale, you will be swept up in speed in which it loads, opens programs, and handling of games. The GPU has a 4 GB VRAM which is on a lower end but doesn't mean you can't tackle games of today with high or ultra settings either. If you do music, photo editing, or DJing - this would be a great laptop for those purposes as well. The quietness of the laptop while in normal use is impressive but when you need to crank up the pressure on the GPU for gaming, you will notice the internal fans but not to the degree it is like a blow drier in your ears. Compared to my last laptop its about half as loud as that one and same is true compared to my gaming desktop. The keyboard is nice but there is a easy fix for the red light turning off after 30 seconds so dont fret, The keyboard is nice to type on with the raised buttons and isn't "clunky" feeling. its not a malfunction, just optional. The screen is a screen, can't say its more or less on par with gaming laptops of its time but I can say a 144hz monitor on a laptop is providing me with smooth gaming experiences - i.e. Call of Duty is silky smooth. Speakers are decent - I'd not buy it for this reason. Upgrading is impressive to me as once you get the back cover off, there is optionals to add another SSD (I did so), upgrade RAM, and add a M2 as well. If you are debating whether to get this laptop vs the off the shelf $400-500 specials of the day - I'd get this. It will help future proof you for years to come and if you are just a Office Suite user w/web browsing needs - this will do the job but is also overkill too. So just a matter of needs.

I’ve had this laptop for a little over two years now. It’s held up pretty well! i’ve only started having a little bit of fps and ping decreases a few months ago. Other than that this is a great gaming laptop.

So far so good! I don’t know much about gaming anything but I do love to play games with my friends so the fact it can run valorant smoothly (and without having to turn the settings as low as possible) is great compared to my other pc.

This is my second nitro 5 in 18 months. Bought this one for my DJ business. So far I’m impressed. I added 64gb of ram, a 4tb 2.5 and a 2tb nvme. If your needing a beast mode machine this is one to look at. Plenty of room for storage expansion inside. Plenty of power for almost any task. I constantly have 3-4 monitors running via hdmi and usbc dock. Drives them all in full 4k and renders live visuals while I dj, and runs the dj software, and records, and live streams. All at the same time.

So far this is a great machine. It stays relatively cool (for a laptop) and is fast. It’ll run Forza Horizon 5 at 100FPS in High or 45FPS in ultra. My only minor complaint is how much the material shows fingerprints. The red keyboard is also amazing to my inner nerd child

I no more have this laptop but let me tell you one thing. This laptop is the best laptop you can get for this price. I know it’s RTX 3050 and you should expect it to run triple A games on high settings but it somehow does. It’s a great entry level laptop if you want to game remotely, not only because its price and surprising performance but also because of its upgradability, it’s easy and quick to upgrade Ram and Storage and it can take up to 32GB Ram and 4TB storage. If you want something on a cheaper side that works, this is it. P.S: don’t expect it to run highly GPU or CPU intensive games released after 2022 on ultra graphics settings, let’s be realistic. You can still play them but you might have to turn those graphics down a little.

This is awesome beauty a really really fast machine this is the best deal out there got it in just 1000 USD (sales & tax inclusive). I have worried a little bit about when I saw some reviews of getting the dead machine. And I also face a similar thing myself but to tackle this issue just push the charging cable as hard as possible until you listen to the "click" sound otherwise you will also think that it is Dead. The only draw back in the machine is that battery is draining little too quickly

Games Run great get around 85 to 91 fps depending on the game and that's in halo infinte mp beta with the it i also i been playing other other games like back 4 blood runs smooth same as forza 5 so far game its amazing in that aspect with the wifi speeds are amazing as well if u can take advantage of it i got most of my games i play installed with in 2 hour period. now for the cons battery life is not the best at most you might a hour out of it especially if your gaming. the fans can be really loud during gaming but if you got a good headset it really shouldn't be a problem on top of that the computer it self is not that loud as in sound wise

I've had this laptop for a little over 2 years and it still plays great. Temperatures for gpu and cpu can get a little high sometimes so I recommend keeping an eye on them with your Nitro sense, just press the N button on your keyboard. Also recommend keeping the coolboost option on for your fans, which can be a little nosy but it's worth it for lower temperatures. Definitely recommend this laptop.

Other than the battery draining fairly quick when unplugged, it works extremely well. Never had a issue with it and can run every game that ive tried. I previously has a GTX 1050, so when I got this, I was amazed.

The battery life is pretty terrible, which I guess you might expect from a gaming laptop, but even then it is pretty bad. Thr laptop generally performs very well, but within a year of light use the screen started to fail. Luckily Acer replaced it and I havent had any issues with that since. Overall not bad for gaming on the go or for productivity work, but you have to basically have it plugged in at all times.
